This past weekend I spoke at a conference on Science and Spirituality in
Oak Ridge, Tennessee. It was the first of its kind, the first
International Conference on Holistic Vision and Integral Living. It was
held in Oak Ridge because this is the Mecca for scientist and research.
In 1942, this "secret city" sprang up in a Tennessee valley, as Allied
scientists raced to beat the Germans at developing enriched uranium to
fuel the first atomic bomb. Oak Ridge was one of the 3 secret cities in
this Manhattan Project. In this quaint little southern town, lies some
of the most intellectual scientist of our country. This is where Albert
Einstein worked on the Atomic bomb. Einstein is a revered scientist here
for he believed in blending science and spirituality. He also worked
with my favorite study, Astrology. One of the purposes of this
conference was to blend the two, science and spirituality. The atomic
bomb was created in a pursuit to create peace, and Einstein was
overwhelmed with grief over the destruction it created.
I was brought to this conference to discuss my paper on “Understanding Duality.”
As I reflect on the weekend I ask myself why was I there and what was
I to learn from this powerful conference.

This is a very intense time globally. It seems there is a feeling of
discomfort, where no one knows from where the relief will come and there
seems to be no solutions to the vast array of problems. As above so
below, the problems appearing in the world boil down to the problems
within ourselves. The external world is a reflection of our internal
world. Everyone I speak to is having a crisis of some kind. This is
indeed because there is such an intense planetary configuration in the
sky.
The grand cross (mutable for sidereal and cardinal for tropical) is
forming in the sky for all of August and for the rest of the fall. This
will have everyone on edge and high strung. There will be more
occurrences of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and severe
weather throughout the world. Anger and resentments surface causing
great disruption for our planet. There will be more violent attacks and
social uprisings. Uranus the planet of sudden change is opposing Saturn,
manifesting social and racial strife as it did during the last
opposition of these two great planets during the late 1960s. The racial
uprising is occurring now across the boarders in the USA.

This is the month I have been focused on for many years prior to this
event. The planetary aspects reach a culmination point forming the Grand
Cross in the sky. This has been building for some time, and as you
know, so have events in our world.
The Astrological Aspects That Are Occurring
The opposition between Saturn and Uranus, the square of Saturn to Pluto
and now Jupiter has joined the conjunction with Uranus and it also
opposes Saturn. Now we are going to have a Solar Eclipse on July 11th
that will be part of this grand cross. Rahu (North Node of Moon) and
Ketu (South Node of Moon) conjoin Pluto will conjunct Rahu and Ketu
opposing. This is HUGE! This November Pluto will exactly conjunct Rahu
which will create more explosive events. This is occurring in the
mutable signs Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Gemini. If you have
personal planets in your chart around theses degrees this will affect
you personally.
It seems some very ominous events have occurred on the same date that
the oilrig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded, April 20, 2010. On the day of
April 20, 1999, the shootings at Columbine High school occurred. On
April 19, 1995, the Oklahoma City bombing happened, and April 20th was
the birth date of Adolph Hitler. So what does this day have in common
astrologically?

As we live our lives amongst all the busy events we often wonder “why
are we here, where did we come from, where do we go, and what is the
purpose for all this seeming chaos?” We are born here with no
information and are taught from an early age many reasons to explain
these mysteries of life. So much is misunderstood. Myths and parables
are taught at an early age to make sense of the mystery that is our
life.
We tend to complicate things more with scientific knowledge that seems
to explain the unexplainable then excluding the most important essence
of life. The most important essence of life is the power that gives
life. That is the essence that gives life to every living creature. This
has many words but the essence is the same and different semantics
confuse many believing their essence is different due to a different
label placed on this source. Some call it God, Spirit, the Force, Light,
Cosmic Consciousness, the Divine or the Universe to name a few. It
doesn’t matter what name we place on it, but we must agree we are all a
part of this energy that gives us life.
