Spiritual Insights I must share with everyone I have been going through a most difficult time myself astrologically. I knew it would be difficult and cannot seem to outwit the stars as Yogananda. Since I am not a self-realized master, to surrender and to look for meaning and the blessing in disguise helps. For those who understand astrology I am in the deepest portion of sadi sati. Transiting Saturn stationed on my natal moon in Leo and at the same time aspected my Sun in Libra. So both the luminaries in my chart are aspected by Saturn. Additionally I am in the Jupiter Maha dasha and transiting Jupiter and Rahu are in my 8th house. With this little bit of information you will realize this is a most challenging time. As a spiritual counselor and astrologer I wondered what am I to learn and how am I to grow through all this. And what I have gained is my understanding of compassion and love. My realizations came from the experience of sharing with friends. The friends who gave me their advice in a manner of their facts (beliefs), referring it to themselves, such as in biblical texts, did not console me at all. It seemed so harsh and judgmental. And then I had other friends who related my issues to themselves and proceeded to tell me all their own troubles. Neither of these ways helped console me at all. It made me feel worse! But there were the few that listened and replied with compassion and love. Just to say I am so sorry and know what you are feeling. These were the ones who made a difference in my difficulties. My point here is when people offer understanding and an open ear and do not relate it back to themselves are the ones who make a difference. When we offer help to others unconditionally we give and do not consider our own lives and make it about us. When you listen with an open mind and open heart you are offering love. And love is the only power that truly heals on all levels. And remember what you do for others you are essentially are doing for yourself because there is no one else out there. This is paraphrased from a book I highly recommend and I will be referring to it often. It is relevant to the experiences I had with various people who offered their opinions during my challenging experiences. I actually gained the most by those who mostly listened, because I felt their compassion. These words in this amazing book hit home to my understanding why and what I was to learn about myself and the world through my experiences. It is based on “The Course of Miracles.” It is, “Take me to Truth” by Sanchez and Vieira. "Having rests on giving and not on getting. Whenever you extend (give) we receive what we give. We always receive the kindness we give and when we genuinely offer forgiveness, we receive forgiveness. The universal truth is that anything of Real Value in this world can only increase by being shared. The act of giving is an infinite one that does not wait on time to work its miracles. **Never be disheartened if your heartfelt giving appears to be rejected or unnoticed. Always remember that the act of your giving immediately resonates beyond time and space and goes on to create and extend forever. You cannot know just how many people are affected by your one act of giving because it reverberates as Love throughout the Universe. Instead of struggling for success, you make sure that everyone else is successful. Instead of grasping for power, you begin empowering others. ** The reason for this is clear. It has nothing to do with the fact that what you have done is morally right, or spiritually enlightened or the Will of God. It is the simple truth that there is no one else out there. There is only one of us. The eventual surrender of our ego-self depends on our living and learning that giving is receiving. The Truth that we will eventually realize is that the aim of our life’s purpose is to achieve the knowing that we already are and have what we need. If we find we reach a particularly challenging time in our relationships, we may be comforted in knowing that the vehicle of relationships is probably the fastest way to attain liberation in this lifetime. Resentment and feeling like a victim are signs that the ego-self is swaying us. Simply asking that the Universal Inspiration to return us right-mindedness works wonders. In terms of physical healing, asking that the problem be healed or removed cannot be fulfilled because the fear in itself that created the sickness is an illusion. Illusions cannot be healed or eradicated by making them real. If we want release from fear then we finally need to recognize where the original cause lies in our minds, not outside of us in any way. The remedy to remove fear then is that as soon as we realize a loss of peace occurring we consciously ask that our thought be returned to right-mindedness. This allows our Unified Self to take over and dissipate the real cause of the fear. It doesn’t occur to us that we are shifting the blame to outside to inside which is just as destructive. Taking full responsibility for ourselves is just as destructive. Taking full responsibility for ourselves, our perception, and our reality is a giant step from ego-self and unfortunately entails a time of increased guilt. This is really all the guilt we have unconsciously projected outside on to others. As we demonstrate Love, Peace, forgiveness, and giving we encounter these in return as gifts from others, even in what we have perceived as irreversible situations. Generally our minds are 2 parts: one is thinking and the other is awareness. The thinking part uses logic, thought, language and reason, and it works in a linear manner, forming its conclusions by which it defines itself and the world. The other part of the mind is awareness (the Unified Self) is aware of all, all at once. It operates beyond time, space and cause and effect. It is limitless and inclusive. It knows all. All the ego wants at its core is guilt and fear. The ego’s foundational belief is that sin is real and justifies punishment is the bases of its heavy investment in fear, guilt and judgment. If we were to embrace the truth that there is no sin, that every mistake is “a call for love” then we would have no guilt. And having no guilt to project onto others would mean we would be fearless and without judgment. The last thing the ego ever relinquishes is its addiction to judgment. It is important for us to realize that the ego casts judgment for the purpose of reinforcing our own subconscious guilt. We think that by seeing others as guilty, we ourselves are less guilty. It is deluding us to believing in separation. If we feel guilty this leads us to judge others and so we go ahead and judge them believing they deserve to be punished. What happens is we believe that we have denied the Source (which we did at the separation) is our mind wants to deny itself and escape the penalty of denial. It then assumes it will escape retribution by punishing someone else. This is the very foundation of why we think we need to judge. Judging is the fuel and our sense of separateness is the fire. If it is love, understanding, and acceptance that we want, we must encourage acceptance within and without. The ego-self and the Unified self, cannot co-exist in our minds. We have to make a clear choice, understanding and practicing that attack and judgment cannot be justified. Trust develops as we learn there is only One Will and that we are unhappy until we share and recognize it is our own Unified will. The first half of this journey was to reveal and remove the blocks to the awareness of Love’s presence which is Truth. The last half, without the intense inner conflict, reveals the face of Love we so yearned to see in ourselves and others. This is the Source emanating in all we do, all whom we meet and all we experience." Planetary PredictionsWe are now upon the most pivotal time in history. This fall is going to be full of surprises. I don’t feel I need to validate the power and accuracy of astrology but if you have been following my predictions for each month you must already know I wrote the monthly predictions on my website back in November of 2008.The fall is the most difficult time of this year; August, September, October and November the world will be in a major crisis. The good news is that after this critical and explosive time of extremes we will have reached a peak and a positive shift will begin. It is a very serious and somber time. I want people to come together in a feeling of acceptance, love and compassion instead of displays of ego righteousness, in terms of their political views and astrological superiority. We must learn that the need to be right is the ego in full throttle and only promotes more ignorance. The truth is that anger and the need to be right only escalate more of the pain being felt by our planet. I have been warning many of this dangerous time and still feel it can be avoided with compassion and love. If you feel the need to criticize or if this information makes you angry, then remember what you feel you are projecting out into the world. The world is nothing but our own projections. What you see and wish onto others you are wishing onto yourself because remember there is nothing out there but you. Everyone must agree this summer of eclipses has been severe. Moods are intense and the economy is about to make a turn for the worse, but you must remember after Jupiter leaves Capricorn the economy will improve after this December. 2010 will be an improvement in the economy but of course we will have different challenges during this time. I keep looking for a break in this volatile time where things may improve and there is hope again for peace and healing on our planet, but I still keep seeing things are still going to get worse before they get better. We just had the last Lunar eclipse August 5th, in this intense eclipse season. For at least a month before and after a solar eclipse (which was July 21st) we will see very intense happenings usually involving earth changes, severe weather and violence. The most susceptible places are the areas where eclipse path crosses over the globe. This is where the eclipse is able to be seen the clearest. As I stated before, this path crosses over the middle of China, India, Japan and the Polynesian Islands. As already seen there has been an earth quake in Japan as I predicted on my Japanese website and there has been a typhoon in China that has killed many. Also there is a Typhoon headed for the Hawaiian Islands as I write. These eclipses cannot be taken lightly and I have explained adamantly, are the most powerful tool we have for prediction as astrologers. The eclipses are powerful because they involve the Sun and the Moon (luminaries) and Rahu (north node of the moon) and Ketu (south node of the moon). These are the most important planets in astrology, and determine our daily and yearly activities. The Sun is our soul and source of light and the Moon is our mind (Manus) and emotions. They represent the yin/yang, male female, day and night. With this in mind I want to make some major predictions based on the eclipse patterns. The solar eclipse degree occurred at 5 degrees Cancer 26 minutes. It is when another planet crosses this degree that can cause events to occur. It remains like a landmine that can be activated once a planet crosses this mark. The exact day transiting Mars crossed over an eclipse degree in 2001 was September 11th, 2001. Transiting Mars will cross over this current eclipse degree October 15th, 2009 and before that Ketu will be crossing over this degree the first week of September. Then on top of that, transiting Mars will conjunct transiting Ketu on October 10th. Mars conjunct Ketu means “Injury”. Plain and simple Mars was conjunct Keu in Sagittarius in the nakshatra Mula on September 11th 2001. Mula is one of the most destructive nakshatras, and is a major reason why that was such a volatile time. Mars will be conjunct Ketu in October in Cancer in the nakshatra Punarvasu. Mars is debilitated in Cancer meaning it will be a difficult and dangerous time. Ketu and Rahu rule epidemics and can indicate some severe outbreaks in the swine flu or other dangerous viruses. Being in a water sign (Cancer) can mean these problems are transmitted from fluids or the water supplies. Punarvasu is a more positive nakshatra and means the return of the light which can shed the light on matters that have been in the dark. I suspect there will be intense fighting, war and attacks prevalent during this time. Once again Jupiter is back in Capricorn until the end of the year (Dec 19th), indicating a drop again in the world’s economy. 2009 is one the worst years I have seen in terms of the financial markets. It tempers the people with extreme fear, depression and financial ruin. Jupiter is retrograde till October 12th where it will turn direct at 23 degrees Capricorn. The degree Jupiter will go stationary direct is a very powerful and fortunate degree. If you have any planets at this degree of 23 Capricorn, or 23 Taurus or Virgo Jupiter will conjunct the degree in Capricorn and trine the Taurus and Virgo degree. You will experience a wind fall of luck or fortune. I give it a one to two degree orb. It will pertain to the houses the planets reside in or rule. While Jupiter is retrograde between now and Oct 12th there is a return of all the troubles experienced earlier in the year pertaining to financial problems, relationship issues, and losses. The fact that Jupiter is debilitated with Rahu further complicates the problems. Jupiter rules knowledge, wisdom and spirituality which means there seems to be a loss in these areas as well. There is not much concern for spiritual growth during these difficult financial times. I believe Jupiter’s transit through Aquarius 2010 will change this lack of wisdom. And since Aquarius rules astrology there will be a revival in this ancient Divine knowledge. August 2009 New Moon Chart for the USA
 Click to enlarge. 08/10/2009 On August 10th Mars will square Saturn creating setbacks and more financial difficulties for our nation. There is unrest in our capital with many unresolved issues. There is too much bickering and fighting causing more problems than are being solved. 08/13/2009 August 13th Saturn will enter into the nakshatra Uttara Phalguni which is ruled by the Sun. Saturn and the Sun are enemies and do not mix. This will mean a definite increase in problems globally pertaining to business and world leaders. The Sun rules leaders and Presidents. Saturn will remain in this nakshatra till December 17th. Also, Saturn becomes more intense in the final degrees of a sign. Saturn in the sign of Leo ruled by the Sun for the last 2 and half years has weakened business and leadership globally with much corruption. Saturn will be 29 degrees of Leo from September 1st-9th.Saturn in the last degree in a sign gains in intensity. This is a very dangerous time for the world and specifically for President Obama since he has his natal Mars at this degree in the 8th house in his chart. The 8th house as many know is the house of transformation, change, obstacles and death. The combination of Mars and Saturn are the most dangerous of all. It will mean extreme setbacks and difficulties. Saturn will be stronger in effect September 9th-Oct 6th, because it will be in the navamsha of Capricorn which is its sign of rulership. Also it will change signs into Virgo on September 9th. Remember Saturn is truth and reality and can bring about realistic reforms that will finally bring organization and settlement with all the economic extremes and problems. 08/16/2009 August 16th the Sun will go into Leo till about mid September where leadership will take precedence. A take charge attitude will fill the air and government. It may feel a bit like a dictatorship. August 26th Mars will oppose Pluto indicating an opposition of power and blow ups in the political systems. The lunar eclipse is a very troublesome one for President Obama, for his birthday falls on the lunar eclipse this year. It seems his appeal and popularity are on the decline. His solar return chart is very dangerous. We call this chart the Varshapal chart in Vedic astrology. It is a predictive chart used for a single year and begins on your birthday. The year the lunar eclipse fell on my birthday in 2003 I lost both of my parents within the year of that lunar eclipse. In his Solar return chart which begins on his birthday August 4th, the Moon is in the 8th house with Rahu, and the Sun is in the 2nd house with Ketu. The 8th and 2nd house axis pertain to extreme change and usually deal with endings and death. He will experience great losses within this year. He must take extreme caution for his own health and safety as well as his family’s health and safety. 08/18/2009 August 18th Mars squares Uranus causing mishaps with machinery such as car crashes and airlines. Be careful around any kind of machinery at this time. 08/20/2009 The New Moon on August 20th opposes Neptune, indicating deception and secrets that are about to be revealed concerning government cover-ups along with much corruption.
