Spiritual InsightsHope for a New World of Unity Unity is our natural state, and the separate feeling of this world is unnatural. We as individuals are separated in our own physical bodies from the rest of humanity. But while we are in spirit form we are united with everything and feel the sense of oneness with all spirit, this is our natural state. We are constantly striving to achieve a feeling of belonging and connection, because this is our natural state of being. Those who are isolated and lonely suffer the most in this world. To feel disconnected, having no one to love or love you is deprivation to our soul and creates negative reactions or behavior. At an early age if we don’t receive love and protection we become scarred on some level. People seek out many forms of belonging in order to achieve a sense of connection. This takes the form of belonging to churches, schools, fraternities, sororities, clubs, companies and even the desperate need to belong to gangs and mobs. The Internet has provided a substitute sense of belonging through many social networking sites such as Facebook. I believe the need for connections to others is becoming more powerful. The planetary changes taking place this month promote these necessary changes. On December 19, 2009 Jupiter enters the sign Aquarius where it swiftly moves through the entire sign by May 1, 2010. Aquarius is the sign that represents humanity and reaching out to others to unite and help bring us together as one. Reaching out to others to get confirmation on our ideas and beliefs gives us a feeling of completeness. We don’t feel alone when we are understood and connected with others. We are not ever truly alone but our mind does play tricks on us, making us feel like no one cares or understands. When we go into a place where we don’t know anyone we feel uncomfortable. We are afraid to reach out and speak or connect initially. If we cannot find someone who understands us, we shy away from those people or surroundings. Going to a new school or new job you seek out others to have a connection. It takes courage to reach out to others, but it is exactly what we must do to find our sense of unity. Reaching out in a loving and reciprocal way will bring humanity together in a sense of oneness producing a world that recognizes our likenesses instead of separating us because of our differences. This is the trend of the transit of Jupiter through Aquarius. It is time to connect physically with others, not just through cyberspace. Find others who connect to you with like-mindedness and plan meetings regularly in areas that interest you. You will find a sense of peace, happiness and unity. Processing your thoughts through another filter will help both you and your concepts grow. We were not put together on this planet to be alone and isolated. Don’t let the Internet isolate you, instead use it to connect to others face to face. Many years ago I began my spiritual center mainly because I felt alone in my thoughts and beliefs. I began teaching astrology and found many new likeminded friends that I still have to this day. I have to admit since I have mainly been teaching astrology through classes on the phone and through the Internet lately, I do not feel the same sense of connection. Even with writing newsletters I feel isolated and alone wondering if I am connecting and resonating to my readers. Who would know if it weren’t for the comments you write on my blog! But of course I would not be able to reach as many people, all around the world without the Internet. My point is this, reach others through this vast and amazing tool, the Internet, but also stay in touch with people face-to-face to satisfy personal connection needs. You will find support and connection with others provides new opportunities and new levels of creativity. This is exactly why I have the lecture/dinner nights at my restaurant, so that like-minded people with similar interest may connect. That plus people love to unite around food. This is part of all our celebrations and holidays: to connect around food with family and friends engaging in great communication, for it opens minds and promotes new ideas and plans. The Sun in Sagittarius conjoins Pluto squares Uranus and Saturn; towards the end of the month the Sun is nearing Rahu forming the Solar Eclipse of January. The Sun represents our leadership and Presidents, who will be under pressure.December 2009 New Moon Chart for the USA  Click to enlarge. 12/01/2009 Uranus turns direct 28 degrees Aquarius indicating forward movement in many affairs that seem to have come to a standstill, like the economy and the business recoveries. This is the beginning of new ideas and plans to heal past problems. 12/07/2009 Neptune enters Aquarius where it will remain till the year 2022. Neptune in Aquarius will produce a spiritual awakening. Its transit in Capricorn caused trouble with government, the economy and specifically corruption with oil and gas. Neptune conjuncts Jupiter on December 21, 2009 indicating a search for truth and spirituality. Jupiter is expansion, and with mystical Neptune we can experience a searching for spirituality, but beware because there is a fine line between the mystical and the delusional. Neptune conjunct Jupiter can mean great delusion or great spirituality. My belief is there will be many searching for truth through many different spiritual groups. Some may be cults and some may be real. Be clear and discerning about the groups you get involved with. 12/07/2009 Mercury conjunct Pluto, square Saturn. This is a bad day to make plans or sign contracts. Postpone any contractual deals or meetings for there will be a difficult outcome. 12/14/2009 Sun square Uranus, causes a day of breakdowns and many frustrating events. This is not a time for travel or plans to start new ventures. 12/16/2009 New Moon at 0 degrees of Sagittarius is in the nakshatra Mula. This can have a profound effect on the future plans for the economy and governmental affairs for the nakshatra Mula pertains to destruction. Disturbing events create a break down before a healing is possible. 12/19/2009 Jupiter will finally enter Aquarius creating a new awareness and feeling of humanitarianism. This change will promote a new feeling of peace and love. 12/20/2009 Mars turns retrograde 25 degrees of Cancer, is the mark of suppressed anger that will mount until Mars turns direct in March 2010. Mars in Cancer will still suppress the housing and real estate markets. 12/24-25/2009 Sun conjunct Pluto square Saturn occurs on our Christmas holiday and has the markings of a dangerous and critical point in time. The Sun slides into the critical degree of the Saturn/Pluto square. This can mean danger and hostility. Refrain from being in crowded places for there could be terrorist activity. This can be a time of unraveling future plans of destruction that become very real later. Unfortunately there will always be a threat of terrorism in our lifetimes. As to the timing of any terrorist hit, they will be at the time of hard aspects. Watching these time frames can give an opportunity of prevention and provide us a sense of safety. There are many threats in the year 2010. We have to be in a defensive mode. There has always been war on this planet and this will probably remain the case while we are here. This is the nature of a world of duality, but it doesn’t have to control your life. A world of peace and love is indeed the ultimate reality for our planet but with the level of awareness currently we just have to focus on our own peace and love if we truly want to experience this reality in our lives. The word that appears to me when I ask is unity. What does unity have to do with the predicament humanity is in currently? Being here on the Earth plane is totally unnatural to us, because we are separate from others. When we are in spirit form, we are in unity with everything. We are whole and feel totally connected with all that is. It is a feeling of wholeness and completeness. We cannot fathom from our perspective now what it is really like. In all that we do, we are trying to achieve this ultimate feeling of bliss to be one with all of creation. But here in physical form, we are separate from others. Validation Through others Gives a Sense of Unity Everything we do, whether negative or positive, unconscious or conscious is to find a way to feel the sense of unity with others; our most natural state. We want to feel validated by our family and friends. The people we have problems with, we alienate because they disrupt our feelings of belonging. Religious beliefs are our way of belonging and feeling connected. We want others to believe our way. This validates us. We feel validated through others.
