Kenneth Johnson - Mayan Prophecy and Knowledge

The Prophet History of the Maya: World Beyond 2012

Jaguar Wisdom by Kenneth Johnson
With all the drastic changes occurring globally, and so much talk about the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012, we have invited an authority on the Mayan culture and predictions to join us at the Galactic Center to reveal his discoveries.

Kenneth Johnson has studied with the day keepers of the Maya in Guatamala, and has come across some new discoveries not previously revealed. He has written two new books that he will be speaking about in his two lecture series, presented for the very first time, at The Galactic Center and Patry's Restaurant.

THE MAYAN DAY KEEPERS WORKSHOP
Sunday, July 12, 2009, 12:00 noon to 5:00pm
The Day Keepers Workshop focuses upon the use of the Mayan calendar as an instrument of astrology, divination and myth. Drawn from traditions still practiced among the contemporary Maya, the material includes the myths and archetypes of the Mayan calendar's twenty day-signs, the use of the day-signs as an oracle or form of divination, and the method used among Mayan calendar shamans to construct a Mayan horoscope based upon the day-sign of one's birth. The workshop fee is $55 per person. Contact the Galactic Center to make a reservation: 214-352-2488.

THE PROPHETIC HISTORY OF THE MAYA
Monday, July 13, 2009, 6:30pm - a Dinner Presentation
Patry's Restaurant
The focus ofthe Mayan culture was time. And while academics have been debating the origins and possible scientific basis of the Mayan calendar, the descendants of the classic Maya are still alive today and still practicing the spiritual path of the Mayan Calendar. Ken Johnson's latest research into what lies at the end of the current 5,125 year Great Cycle - and beyond - is based on the ancient prophetic writings of the Mayan people. What lies beyond 2012? The Maya have already told us.

$30 for dinner and the presentation. Dinner includes soup or salad, choice of an entrée and vegetables, and dessert. Wine is optional. To secure your spot credit card information will be taken in advance. Contact Patry's Restaurant of Dallas, Texas to make a reservation: 214-352-2489.

MAYAN HOROSCOPE READINGS
Monday and Tuesday, July 13th and 14th, 9am to 5pm
Kenneth Johnson will also be doing Mayan horoscope readings while visiting Dallas. A Mayan horoscope involves is a technique commonly used in the highland villages of Guatemala. The horoscope is constructed using the date of one's birth and the day-signs of the Sacred Calendar. A Mayan horsocopic reading is essentially shamanistic rather than predictive; it focuses on strategies for dealing with life issues rather upon future events. Kenneth is available for readings 9am to 5pm, Monday, July 13th and Tuesday July 14th. $85 per half an hour. Contact the Galactic Center to schedule your reading with Kenneth: 214-352-2488.

KENNETH JOHNSON holds a B.A. in Comparative Religions from California State University Fullerton with a Master of Arts in Eastern Studies (with an emphasis in Classical Sanskrit) from St. John's College, Santa Fe. He is the author of numerous books and magazine articles, including the well-known Mythic Astrology series (with Arielle Guttman) and Mansions of the Moon: The Lost Zodiac ofthe Goddess.

I was initially excited about the Mayan calendar seminar until I saw that the
**Aztec** calendar photo is used to portray a *Mayan* calendar... it is
unfortunate you assume most people do not know both cultures were vastly
different and it places great doubt over the knowledge or qualification of your
speaker.

While I agree that the two cultures were in some respects "vastly"
different, I do not believe that the same statement can made in terms of the
Calendar. In fact, the so-called "Mayan" Calendar isn't really Mayan
either. Most scholars now place its origins among the Olmec civilization of the
Gulf Coast, considerably earlier than the Maya. More properly, it should be
called "the Mesoamerican Calendar," as it was common to all the cultures
of ancient Mesoamerica -- including both the Aztecs and the Maya. The Aztec Sun
Stone (now housed in the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City) is unique in the
sense that it is the only pre-Columbian diagrammatic representation we have
which depicts the day-signs, months, and world ages of the common Mesoamerican
Calendar. That was why I used it.

"If you are coming from a place of a compassionate heart then you will have a feeling of peace, love and contentment. You will attract others with the same sense of happiness in their life. Compassion comes from a place of understanding."
