Spiritual Insights This is the month where the many events that flavor this year will begin to come into fruition. We have had a break in events recently meaning February was the calm before the storm. This will be an action packed year and the turn of the tides will begin now. Mars has been retrograde and will turn direct March 10th. Mars in Vedic astrology rules real estate and in the New Moon chart 5 planets are in the 8th house (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Uranus, and Venus) indicating a major break in the banking industry. The housing market and the banks will make a major shift. This means the reality of this looming problem will surface now. There are deep problems that have not been addressed! Remember the New moon chart in Pisces is the chart Vedic astrologers take into account for the results for the entire year of events for any country, based on the longitude and latitude used for each country. The new Moon occurs on March 15th with daylight savings time in effect for America. Washington DC is is the geographical location used for the new moon chart, to depict the outcome for the USA. To chart the effects of other countries the longitude and latitude of the country in question must be used. Read more in my article about the Pisces new Moon and USA predictions. In this chart, not only are there 5 planets in the 8th house but Saturn is opposing them from the 2nd house indicating an awakening to the reality of the financial loss incurring in the USA. The denial that things are okay will be uncovered. The bottom is about to fall out. Since the 8TH house deals with money shared with others, banks, taxes, insurance, inheritance and death the future of America and all of our lives will revolve around these important issues. This is a time when the economy of the USA will have to be cleaned up. The focus and attention is on these matters. When Jupiter enters Pisces in May there will be major changes that will flavor the year of 2010. This reveals huge events for this summer and fall. Mars turning direct March 10th will intensify the events involving real estate, land, anger and terrorism. The banks and governmental agencies concerning loans have to reorganize. Actually this is an issue affecting many countries worldwide. Once Mars moves into Leo the end of May the attention will revert to the leaders of countries to make major decisions for the world is under pressure for some dramatic changes. Mars in Leo indicates the leaders have to make a decision for radical change. This involves the world banks. Jupiter is in Aquarius and will pick up enormous strength when it changes into Pisces beginning in May. Jupiter is the planet ruling spirituality and wealth. Last year in 2009, Jupiter in Capricorn conjunct Rahu destroyed the wealth for many globally. There was fear of loss. Many businesses closed, people lost their jobs, and homes. Consequently, there was a loss in spiritual seeking. People began to lose their hope and belief in the spiritual purpose of their lives. The fact that Jupiter rules prosperity, wealth and spirituality is very meaningful. I believe that if you truly understand the principal behind wealth and money, then you will understand our spiritual purpose on this planet. Unfortunately we are in a very dark age and the understanding that links money, wealth and spirituality are completely misunderstood. People associate money with greed and the wealthy control and manipulate others to feel a sense of their superiority and control over others. Our attitudes concerning money reveal so much about ourselves on a spiritual level. If we can truly understand our issues with money then we will understand our true spiritual growth. Growing up, most of us were taught that money is the root of all evil and those who were very rich were somehow very greedy. These ideas are a breeding ground for resentment, guilt and indebtedness. In all actually these ideas are what have created a world of lack and poverty. My mother was a very successful real estate agent, and over the years acquired a little dynasty of rental property. I used to call it “her kingdom” because she used to love to visit her properties all the time. She always had problems with her tenets, and the perpetual up keep, pouring money into her properties and the struggles with handy men constantly ripping her off made me not want anything to do with this sort of business. She was in a continual whirlwind of fixing things that were broken. She became so obsessed with the money and problems that she was consumed with losing anything she worked so hard to gain. My mother was truly obsessed with money. She often told me it was the only thing that really mattered in this world. Her obsession became so overwhelming I began to resent anything to do with money. She basically controlled everything I did with the giving or taking away of money. Money felt bad to me and represented suffering. In a conversation with one of my famous Hollywood clients, he once shared how money represented “Suffering” to him. His father is very rich and famous and controlled him in the same manner my mother did with me. Everyone who has financial problems has some resentment toward money and associated with the past. My question too is, “Just how spiritual is it to be resentful?” Money issues are tied into our spirituality. It is one thing to understand the why and what we are resentful about. It is the power of forgiveness that will release this resentfulness and our self-righteousness concerning these deep emotional issues we hang on to. In hanging on to these resentments we keep ourselves locked into the pattern of lack of prosperity on all levels. When you feel resentments of any kind, situations will emerge that validate these negative feelings. My mother has been gone for almost five years and since then I have attracted similar people who continue these same issues. The feeling that others are controlling us and keeping us in a rut due to financial difficulties is self created. Financial difficulties are the result of our resentments, and lack of self-esteem. This is also why the world is at odds with the financial predicament globally now. We have the opportunity to change our world with this conscious awareness working through our own individual lives and consequently this will shift the awareness globally. Our money issues are our spiritual issues and are the tool to understand our spiritual growth. This explains why planet Jupiter ruler of money also rules spirituality. I want everyone to prosper and heal their material and spiritual issues! Resentment and negative beliefs about money can manifest in many ways. Great lessons can be learned by addressing your own money issues. Spiritual growth and prosperity will follow. The great Guru Paramahansa Yogananda said repeatedly we must balance the material and spiritual worlds. Balancing Your Spiritual and Material Life… "The material and the spiritual are but two parts of one universe and one truth. By overstressing one part or the other, man fails to achieve the balance necessary for harmonious development…. Practice the art of living in this world without losing your inner peace of mind. Follow the path of balance to reach the inner wondrous garden of Self-realization." Paramahansa Yogananda In understanding and realizing my ultimate lessons I was directed to reread this very powerful book and I encourage everyone to take a look at it. “The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity” by Catherine Ponder; 1962 “No debt is good if you resent or fear it, because such an attitude causes it to become a burden. The thought of burden often stops the flow of substance into your affairs, as well as hindering the flow of new prosperous ideas in your thinking. When the flow of substance is halted in either of these ways, you are unable to meet your bills, and panic and resentment take over. So long as you do not resent or fear financial obligations you can maintain mental and emotional control over them in your thoughts, feelings and reactions. When you maintain a feeling of control, not feeling helplessly bound to debts, you keep the way open for the rich substance of the universe to flow to you—in expected and unexpected ways---making it possible for you to meet each obligation. Uplifted thinking, free from fear, resentment and condemnation is necessary in order to maintain a debt free existence. A housewife related how thoughts of fear, resentment, and condemnation got her into debt; and how by changing her attitudes, she got out of debt. Her husband was a fine salesman who traveled and work took him far from home. Early in their marriage they purchased a farm in the mountains in Kentucky. They decided it was an ideal place to raise a family. But since her husband traveled regularly she was held responsible for the upkeep of the farm and their children. Since her husband traveled so much her resentment began to grow as she was taking care of all the difficult responsibilities. Because of her extended responsibilities, her financial obligations began to grow along with her resentments. Finally she had to borrow money to pay the workers, to purchase farm equipment, and meet general expenses of the farm. Soon she was in debt, though the farm had excellent potential. At this point, she heard about the power of prosperous thinking, and began to assess her indebtedness from the standpoint of her mental attitudes. One busy afternoon, when she was wondering how she would meet the payroll that week, she drove up on a lovely hill overlooking a peaceful area where cattle were grazing. There she stopped and meditated on the peaceful beauty of the scene below. She realized she had resented her husband’s absence from home, though she knew he was only trying to provide for his family. She further realized that she had been resenting the responsibility of running the farm alone, although it was a valuable asset. As she thought of the burdensome debt, resentment and condemnation passed. She then silently asked for divine guidance for herself, husband, children, farm and workers. She gave thanks for financial success and freedom from indebtedness. When she drove into town the next day, a friend told her that he wanted to buy some farm equipment. She told him she had this equipment unused. A purchase was arranged that quickly liquidated her of all her debts. Later, as her former resentments were replaced by love and appreciation for the farm, her husband decided to give up all the sales work, to move his family into town, and go into the contracting business. A competent manager was hired to run the farm. As this woman continued to praise and give thanks for her many blessings, her farm, and husband’s new business both prospered. This story proves that thoughts of condemnation, and resentments caused a sense of burden, which in turn stopped the flow of substance in her affairs. When she no longer resented her obligations, she gained control over them and lived a life of prosperity.” Catherine Ponder One more note of encouragement to remember from Catherine Ponder. Overcome Discouragement and Disappointment “Train your mind to never be disappointed. If certain things do not come at certain expected times in the way you wished, do not consider it a failure. Since you have not received that thing, you can instead stand firm in the faith that something much better is on the way and will appear at the right time. When you seem to fail, remind yourself that it is because you have not asked big enough. Expand your viewpoint and expectation, and a larger answer than you originally anticipated will surely come. Failure is nothing but success trying to be born in a bigger way. Most seeming failures are just installments toward victory.” From these powerful lessons you can consciously understand what you are unconsciously doing to prevent your ultimate prosperity. Resentments and self-esteem issues are at the root of your lack and limitations. Realizing what patterns from your past you are allowing to control your happiness will release you from your self-imposed suffering. This takes the form of deep-seated resentments. Realizing your issues and asking for forgiveness and letting the Divine intervene and help you through your prayers and surrender will change your life to a life of happiness, prosperity and wealth. This is the natural state the Universe and Divine intended for you. Money issues reveal our spiritual lessons, reminding me of why Jupiter is the planet of both wealth and spirituality. "I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt. Only my condemnation injures me. Only my own forgiveness sets me free. How deceived I was to think that what I feared was in the world, instead of in my own mind. Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict. As forgiveness allows love to return to my awareness, I will see a world of peace and safety and joy. This world will change through you. No other means can save it. My forgiveness is the means by which the world is healed, together with myself, let me then forgive the world, that it may be healed along with me. Peace will come to all who ask for it with real desire and sincerity of purpose." -- A Course In Miracles |

Western astrologer Diane Eichenbaum will give her predictions for 2010. She will talk about the tremendous energy that we have available to us now with the Aries point being set off. 2010 is a time of great change; Pluto, Saturn and Uranus are forming a very powerful configuration in Cardinal signs. She will go through all the Astrology signs and see how this pattern affects each one. We have the chance to work with energies that are potentially destructive. The answer to this transition period is to know it is just energy that we can work with. The outcome of this great transition period will be a chance to become more conscious.
