Spiritual Insights We are all about to see things never before imagined in the history of our planet. So be prepared, for the next few years will take us on a tailspin of speed and an opening of consciousness never believed possible. The onset of the shift began last fall with this extreme transformation. I am referring to the first Uranus and Saturn opposition which was exact on election day. This is monumental in the extreme changes this cycle is about to deliver. This opposition is about change from the old to the new and I think all agree this election is all about change. Last February was the second opposition and we have 3 more to go. So there are a total of five Uranus and Saturn oppositions and each one will promote another level of change through 2010.Jupiter, the planet of expansion and wealth, will temporarily enter into the humanitarian sign of Aquarius for the next three months. Most definitely Jupiter rules the financial disposition of the world. In Capricorn where it has been since November is no doubt its worse position, for it is debilitated here and its conjunction with Rahu has devastated the benefic quality of Jupiter. As a matter of fact, Rahu is said to corrupt Jupiter. When a planet is with the lunar nodes (Rahu or Ketu) this means the planet will be involved in the lunar and solar eclipses, which wipes out the light and essence of that planet. Now, do you understand why the economy has been in a difficult condition?! The good news is there will be a bit of a relief for three months, but as Jupiter returns to Capricorn July 30th it could be even worse than before for there will be one solar and two lunar eclipses around that time, with Mars slowing down and positioning very close to Earth. I expect this fall to be exceedingly worse than anytime this year. So with this information don’t let the temporarily optimism let you get in over your head. Do not over extend yourself. This is a glimpse of the good that will finally begin to develop in 2010. I know many astrologers are predicting extreme gloom and doom for the next few years till 2012, but I staunchly differ with them. Yes, this fall, particularly October, will be the worst period ahead for us but it will be a precursor of a time for healing and will bring people together in a mass effort to unite on a peaceful spiritual level. There is a developing T square of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto plus Rahu and Ketu creating a grand mutable cross in 2010 Yes, it will be a big event. But I think the economic crisis this year has been more devastating on a personal level. All of the world predictions concerning the shifts in the stock markets and the earth quakes are predicted on account of the outer planets. The outer planets are transpersonal and indicate the masses. They give the big picture. I am saddened that there are fundamental self-righteous Vedic astrologers who claim to be all knowing and ridicule those who use the outer planets. I commend my colleague Juliana Swanson for making a firm stand in my last blog concerning the use of the outer planets. There are also western astrologers who claim Vedic astrology is inaccurate based on their study and beliefs. Astrologers can be extremely competitive and disagree on almost everything. Everyone thinks their knowledge is superior. The scientist and astronomers believe astrology is nonsense. The traditional fundamental Hindu astrologers are no different than the fundamental Christians who take each word of the bible literally. To make a stand on one side of the polarity always opens the door to polarization and will attract those who oppose these sides. This is a world of duality and will always have opposing forces. This applies to everything here on our planet. Everyone has an opinion (which is their belief) and will take a side at some point, whether it is political, religious, scientifically or emotionally. Knowledge produces growth in our world. It is no illusion that the world is round instead of flat, and we are not the center of the Universe. We cannot disregard the discovery that there are other planets that affect us. But my most important point to make here is self-righteousness closes people’s minds and hearts to the truth. We must be loving and open with acceptance. There is no room for these attitudes in the discussion of our world when we are in a place of dire separation without compassion. I certainly do not want my chart read by such extreme fundamentalist with self-righteous condemnation. How can anyone with such judgment help the world at this point? They only add to the extremist who have gotten the world in the condition of hate and destruction we are facing now, and in the name of their spirituality. Does this sound familiar? Yep, the terrorist of Al-Kida pretty much feel this way too. My message again is that self- righteousness is the culprit of resentments and retards our growth as individuals and as a humanity. Astrologers are to be our spiritual guides in a time of disillusion and turmoil on the planet. The more we recognize our righteousness the more we can shift it to compassion to help one another rather than feeling the need to be right. If you feel the need to be right then you must analyze your insecurities. When someone is righteous then they are feeling insecure about their beliefs and feel compelled to project their insecurity onto others blaming others for their own inadequacies. This is called projection. This makes them feel superior. But this is the ego and separates us more from our truth, our divinity and connection to God. We must realize our likenesses realizing we are all one. We are all here to unite, love and feel a connection to others, not feel we are smarter and better, this creates a world of separation and war, when all we really want is peace and love. We must remember to stay focused in a world of understanding and love. This is the only way we can make a difference in this most wonderful time of change and transformation on our beautiful planet earth. Planetary PredictionsTopping the news currently are concerns about the swine flu. I suspect it will be under control soon since Jupiter will separate from Rahu May 1st as it transits into Aquarius. The lunar nodes (Rahu and Ketu) specifically rule diseases and pandemics. Jupiter with Rahu has created this fear and possible pandemic. I suspect it has been brewing for a while. When Jupiter returns to Capricorn July 30th there can be a more dangerous outbreak. The most devastating flu pandemic in recorded history occurred in 1918 when Saturn and Uranus opposed in the same signs as they are in now. I have been predicting this outbreak based on this opposition for some time. We have three more oppositions ahead of us. I believe things will improve but the next oppositions will be much more difficult, particularly July through November, when Rahu and Ketu will change signs.Many changes are occurring because three slow moving planets are changing signs. All three will revert back into the previous signs briefly. But in 2010 they will remain in the signs they are briefly touching now. These changes are temporary and are giving us a brief glimpse into a new world that will be extremely different from before. Jupiter and Neptune changed into Aquarius, and Uranus into Pisces. Uranus in Pisces promotes space travel and interest into other worlds. New frontiers open with the advent of new discoveries in space travel and new sightings of extraterrestrial beings. Whenever there are major shifts on our planet other beings check up on us to observe our progress. And finally the truth will be opened to the public that has been hidden by the government for so long concerning UFOs. Changes in beliefs begin within the churches, with Uranus’ transits through the sign of Pisces for the next 7 years. Pisces is the sign of fundamental religious beliefs, so as Uranus enters this sign you will see a change within the religions of the world. Mercury will be retrograde most of the month in Taurus indicating a reversal in the economy. It will be a time to review and reassess your financial goals. Venus is in the sign of Pisces promoting the arts and creativity. Movies, film and television promote better mass media to uplift humanity instead of focusing on negativity.  Click to enlarge. 05/01 Jupiter enters Aquarius: Within the month of May there will a complete shift of energy. It feels much more optimistic. There will much talk of uniting forces and people banding together for the good of all humanity instead of the focus on self gratification and greed. Jupiter in Aquarius will bring some relief to the financial markets. The globalization of the world creates a world market where foreign trade becomes the wave of the future. More companies will be setup globally rather than nationally. This does not really help Americans, for the wealthy will be doing business in the other counties that are not under the current governmental taxes. Interest in spirituality and psychology will be topics in the news as awareness begins to open. 05/02 Venus square Pluto: Expect some upsets within personal relationships. This is a difficult time blending the male and female energies. Betrayal is a common theme with Pluto and Venus. Celebrity split ups will top the news. On a personal level be understanding and accepting of difficulties in your own relationships. 05/06 Mercury turns retrograde 7 degrees Taurus: Mercury retrograde in the earth sign of Taurus means it is time to reassess your finances. It can be a good time to get your credit in order or get your home refinanced. It is time to eliminate your excess spending. The banks in general will make assessments as to the progress they are making in the US economy, but realize this is a false sense of security. They are making false assessments that will quickly turn downward in the fall. The banks will make a major shift that will cause trouble for the economy in the fall. As always with Mercury retrograde, do not start new projects during this time, but finish out projects already initiated. On May 30th Mercury turns direct at 28 degrees of Aries. The day it goes retrograde (May 6) and direct (May 30) can be the most hectic and troublesome in trying to make plans. So stir clear of these days if you want your plans to go smoothly. Once we are into June the effects of Mercury retrograde will be over and projects and plans will move forward in a smooth progressive direction. 05/08 Full Moon 23 degrees Libra: New plans will begin to flourish and be productive initiated by government officials. There seems to be a relief in the original plans concerning raising taxes. There will be a compromise that brings peace to a struggling nation. 05/16 Saturn turns direct 20 degrees Leo: Saturn stationed at this time makes for an intense time of heavy responsibilities. It feels like nothing is able to progress. But as soon as Saturn begins to move forward there will begin to be progress and plans begin to be fulfilled. Actually, Saturn turned retrograde December 31, 2008 stifling the economy and businesses. Saturn retrograde causes more businesses to fail than any other planet. Saturn as ruler of the sign Capricorn rules business. The direct movement of this planet will do wonders for the world’s economy and the threats of bankruptcy. Things will begin to lighten up. 05/16-17 Sun square Jupiter and Neptune: There is disbelief in the wavering reorganization of the government. Nothing is clear, and it all seems so disorganized. This is a very confusing time for everyone. This is not the time to make serious plans or set out on a new endeavor. New plans made at this time will have a disappointing result. 05/18 Mercury conjunct Sun (Mercury combust): Mercury rules the mind and thinking. This is a really difficult time to make progress in any personal projects. Review and analyze what you are working on, for chances are you will discover a major flaw that will save you time and money. 05/20 Mercury square Neptune and Jupiter: This is a frustrating time to make your plans move forward for there seems to be some unforeseen obstacles in your path. Realize this is a time of confusion. It is time for maintenance on your car and remember to back up your computer. This is a bad Mercury retrograde while Neptune aspects Mercury. Computer viruses are on the rise. Travel plans will go haywire as well. 05/22 Rahu aspects Sun (5th): Rahu can indicate a rise in viruses and disease. Although I don’t think the current scare of this possible pandemic is a serious one, I do believe there is a much more serious threat in the fall. But there will be more fear and sickness spreading now. 05/23 Mars enters Aries: Mars in Aries is powerful because Mars rules Aries. This will activate action and a natural competitive drive in our society. It is time to get things done that you have been procrastinating with for so long. 05/24 New Moon 9 degrees Taurus indicates the many things hidden are about to surface. In this new moon chart the Sun and Moon are in the 12th house indicating hidden agendas that will soon be revealed. The release of hidden information will take place at the next full Moon in 2 weeks. 05/27 Jupiter conjunct Neptune: Neptune with Jupiter in Aquarius brings a feeling a purpose and promise. The media and the lines of communication shift to a new awareness for breakthroughs in positive thinking. There seems to a positive ray of hope even in the wake of much destruction. This is because it is the dawning of a new awareness. Jupiter with Neptune can be a spiritual awakening or it can mean mass delusion. Actually you will see both scenarios happening. There will be an awakening of higher awareness that promotes a true level of spirituality as well as some delusional cults involving many to be lead down a path of destruction. Neptune can mean deceit and deception such as con artist, so be very careful with any get rich quick schemes. Remember if it is too good to be true, then it is truly too good to be true. 05/28 Neptune turns retrograde 2 Aquarius: This will intensify the illusionary effect Neptune has on the masses. Neptune rules any form of escape, which means ways to escape reality. This deals with alcohol, drugs, cults, any form of additions and sleep. Abuses with these means of escape will be on the rise. A positive means of escape is through going to the movies and entertainment which will peak in sales as well. But the best means of escape is to connect with your Divinity within through meditation.
