Spiritual Insights The most significant feature about the month of November is the shift of Rahu and Ketu to different signs. Rahu and Ketu remain in a sign for 18 months, or a year and a half. November 3rd they change into the Gemini/Sagittarius axis. Rahu will shift into Sagittarius and Ketu into Gemini. This means the eclipses will be occurring in these signs. Remember, the eclipses in a chart are where the most change will occur. The fact that Rahu is no longer in the same sign as Jupiter is huge. Rahu is the planet that corrupts Jupiter. December 19th Jupiter will change signs into Aquarius. (This is in the sidereal system of Vedic astrology. In tropical Western astrology Jupiter has been in Aquarius.) Last year, up until this point in time, the social climate has definitely been about Jupiter in Capricorn, which creates economic problems. Additionally, with the aspect of Jupiter conjunct Rahu, all areas Jupiter rules were completely destroyed. Jupiter rules over finances, wealth, money, spirituality, wisdom, knowledge and truth. With the loss of all these attributes last year, it was a year of loss and spiritual deprivation. Since the nodes of the Moon (Rahu and Ketu) travel backwards and Jupiter is traveling forward. Jupiter and Rahu will separate 2 signs away from each other. This will be a relief! Rahu in Sagittarius will open minds to new ideas with inspiration and new aspirations. The sign Ketu is in reveals where there is a void. Therefore, there is a searching and seeking to fill the emptiness or the void. Ketu in the sign of Gemini represents seeking of information and learning. This represents the power of the mind. Jupiter in the sign of Aquarius from December 19.2009 through May 1, 2010 will have a positive effect on the world in terms of healing both the financial crisis and the lack of spirituality. In many respects I feel the world has gone through many deaths this past year, physically and emotionally. Many have been faced with the realization of their mortality and the serious question of, “Why are we here.” November 1st in the Christian tradition is called “All Saints Day.” It is a beautiful remembrance of all the souls that have graced this planet. This was the birth of Halloween. This is probably my favorite holiday because it is a remembrance of why we are here. All the fun and silly antics that take place on Halloween are in way to lighten the meaning of this time of year. It represents change and transition. In the northern hemisphere in North America and Europe, there are celebrations to all the spirits who have passed on in this world. I can remember spending this time in Budapest, Hungary in 2004 and the entire city was lit with candles to honor the spirits. The carving out of pumpkins with the candles inside is a representation of the empty body with the spirit of life inside by the flame. This is a magical time of year for the winds of change flow through all of us with the changing in the leaves representing the process of dying and transition. This is the time of year that we prepare for endings, change and the process of transformation. It is no coincidence that the sign associated with this time of year is Scorpio, which is the 8th sign of the zodiac signifying death and transformation. I believe we must use this time to revert back over this past crucial year of our lives, for it has meant something extraordinarily meaningful for each of us. My initial response was I am so glad this year is coming to an end for it was one of the most difficult years of my life. I predicted it would be a year of awakening and a new level of consciousness, which I have to admit, is profoundly correct. For to awaken to a higher level of consciousness means we have to die on some level. For me, even though I had the death of my mother-in-law mid October and people close to me who are looking into the face of death, a part of me died this year. Through all the struggles, trials and tribulations I can honestly say now I see the result, a transformation. We all experience many deaths in our lives. This is the means that creates the changes in our lives and without the deaths and changes we cannot grow. Growth is essential to our existence here. This is exactly what this time of year represents to all of us, a time of death, transformation and growth. What a very powerful time it is to remember the purpose of why we are here. The most empowering thing about growth, death and what the seasons represent to us is the fact that we never really die; we only change. And when we have outgrown our body or situation we must have a death so something new can be reborn. The process of birth is painful and symbolic of the process of birthing something new we have outgrown. The process of dying is symbolic of the process of returning to spirit and rebirth. It is now time to reflect back on what we have left behind this year, and what we have all gained from the awakening of this year of transition – 2009. This is a crucial part of our development as a soul. You will begin to understand why you are here, through understanding the experiences of this year. Throughout my life I have read books to inspire consciousness. I used to read one a week. Needless to say I have stacks of books around my house, office and garage. But something very interesting happened this week. I was in my office sitting by the bookcase and noticed a book there I did not remember ever seeing or reading. I believe I was lead to pick this one book out, for the information is crucial for this time. Furthermore, it has many references to the phenomenal work from the “Seth” books, which are channeled information from the 1970s. It is the basis of most of the channeled information current today including the works of Ester and Jerry Hicks, who created through channeling, the works of Abraham “The Laws of Attraction.“ The book goes through each of the five emotions: fear, anger, compassion, sadness and grief in relation to the different charkas or energy centers in our bodies. Nancy confirms my belief that our emotions are indeed the power that directs our life. It is now recognized by medical scientists that emotions can be a crucial part of our illnesses. Doctors love to call it stress. But it is deeper than just the catch-all phenomena called stress. It is about what causes the stress! It has to do with how we feel about our life and the many past hurts and resentments and how we process our emotions. The power to create comes from our deep power of emotions in which everything has to do with love in one form or another. From “Acupressure for the Soul” “Each emotion is presented with the underlying theme that each feeling is LOVE in its various forms. We cannot fully love if we are not feeling our emotions.” “ALL of the emotions are LOVE. Fear is frozen LOVE. Compassion is balanced LOVE. Anger is unidentified, or unrecognized, or unknown LOVE. Sadness is a sense of lost LOVE. Grief is the loss of a loved one or loss of an opportunity for LOVE. LOVE is all there is.” “Imagination and emotions are the most concentrated forms of energy that you possess as physical creatures. Any strong emotion carries within it far more energy than, say, that required to send a rocket to the moon. Emotions instead of propelling a physical rocket, for example, send thoughts from this inner reality through the barrier between nonphysical into the “objective” world - no small feat, and one that is constantly repeated.” “Dogmas or systems of thought that tell you to rise above your emotions can be misleading - even, in your terms dangerous. Such theories are based upon the concept that there is something innately disruptive, base or wrong in man’s emotional nature, while the soul is always depicted as being calm, “perfect” passive and unfeeling. Only the most lofty, blissful, awareness is allowed. Yet, the soul is above all a foundation of energy, creativity, and action that shows its characteristics in life precisely through the ever changing emotions.” Astrological PredictionsThis month Saturn in Virgo is squaring Pluto at 7 degrees of Sagittarius. This means anyone with planets around 7 degrees of a mutable sign, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces will be going through a very challenging period of their life. I give this a 3-degree orb for the most intense experience, so this means early 3-11 degrees in the mutable signs. With Rahu and Ketu in the signs that signify communications, I believe much more will surface about what is actually going on in our world. I am convinced that the media has not been upfront with us, and has been hiding the truth about how bad the world economy really is. The damage has already been done and the result will be evident very soon. More banks will falter and the housing market in America is in deep trouble. The fallout is about to be revealed. Mars in Cancer is devastating the housing markets throughout the United States through the month of May 2010. Also within this month the Sun, Mercury and Venus will be squaring Jupiter/Neptune and Mars forming a T-square, indicating much frustration that will not come to a conclusion. This is evident in family, groups and politics. This is the time before Mars will turn retrograde representing the extremes that are manifesting in ways of anger and hostility. As predicted, October was a very violent and crazy month. There are dangerous aspects, but the nakshatras are not as devastating as the placements were in 2001. My only concern is the approaching grand mutable cross for next year in 2010 when Rahu and Pluto are in the devastating nakshatra of Mula. This will occur on the degree of the United States Ascendant in the chart I use for the USA. I will be making my yearly predictions before the beginning of 2010. The threats for terrorism continue and begin to intensify throughout 2010. 11/01/2009 Mercury square Mars. This is not a good time to sign contracts or begin a new business for there are misunderstandings and problems. Promises will be neglected and denied. Confrontations turn into problems with no resolution. 11/03/2009 Rahu changes into Sagittarius and Ketu changes into and Gemini, full Moon 15 degrees Aries. The winds of change will sweep over the world, shifting the awareness and consciousness. Our perspective begins to change indicating that we will have a different set of values. What we valued before will change and we will understand the meaning of our life from a different perspective. Life is different with new meaning. This is a time of spiritual growth on the planet. This transition will take place over the next year and a half as the nodes transit in these new signs. 11/03/2009 Venus enters Libra, the sign of its rulership. Venus becomes more powerful now indicating it is a time to heal our differences in our relationships. Marriage and engagements will have lasting value now. It is now time to plan social gatherings and buy expensive luxuries such as cars. Venus rules vehicles therefore it is time to make that purchase to get the best value. 11/04/2009 Neptune turns direct 29 degrees Capricorn means there is finally an awakening to the truth in every area of life. Neptune retrograde causes indecision and deception. It will finally leave the sign of Capricorn in December casting clarity in areas like never before. It can clear the way of political misrepresentation and shed light on a new wave of humanitarianism that will be a necessity for the future. 11/08-11/2009 Mercury and Sun square Jupiter and Neptune causing flawed judgment. Be cautious when making decisions, for your vision is distorted and exaggerated. Perception is not clear and disappointment will be the outcome. Illusions of grandeur will be the case now. Be realistic and postpone decision-making. 11/15/2009 Saturn square Pluto. This aspect will influence the entire month. This is the challenging aspect that actually flavors the entire year to come because these two planets will be square on and off throughout the next year. This represents the breakdown of the old patterns that we have out grown. This applies to the worlds’ views on religion and the economy. But more specifically it will pertain to our own individual lives. We have to change and grow, for to remain stuck in the past with past fears and resentments will destroy our lives. 11/16/2009 New Moon 0 degrees Scorpio. This is an interesting month for in this new moon chart Uranus and Ketu are in trinal aspect, which is the full aspect of Rahu and Ketu. Uranus is change and sudden events. Uranus also rules airplanes, which looks dangerous within this new Moon chart. Uranus is in the 12th house of losses and the ruler of the 3rd house is Venus in the 8th house. The 3rd house rules transportation and communications. The 8th house is the house of death and change. This looks like a difficult month for air travel. Communications will be difficult too. Since Rahu and Ketu have shifted this month into Sagittarius and Gemini this accentuates issues around air travel and communications. The media will be exposed and ridiculed for their propaganda, and air travel will become increasingly more dangerous. "Nothing feels worse than the feeling of no control, no choice or freedom. It is like being a child in an abusive home; there is no hope, no way out. But the suggestion that we have free will, the freedom to choose our life and destiny, is invigorating and frees the spirit" |
