Spiritual Insights

Thank you again for all the thoughtfulness and inspiration all of you have given me. You have inspired me to work more on my writing and to give back to promote healing of the consciousness of this world.

The times of change are upon us. Change is inevitable for there is a building of negative energy. The opposition of Saturn and Uranus are now occurring in the sign of Virgo and Pisces, respectively. Saturn is now in Virgo, and Uranus is in Pisces. I have always thought this axis of the zodiac deals with the victim/savior analogy. There are two more oppositions occurring in Late April and late July 2010. This opposition severely affects the stock market. Watch the extremes plummet. The specific points are 4 and 6 degrees of Virgo/Pisces. Actually, this involves any planet in the mutable signs around these degrees, which is close to 4-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini and Sagittarius.

(Remember this is the occurring in the sidereal zodiac. Western astrologers read my work and do not understand that I am doing Vedic astrology which uses the Sidereal zodiac. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac in which the placements of these oppositions are occurring as well about 24 degrees forward in the zodiac, therefore Saturn is in Libra, Uranus in Aries and squaring these positions are Capricorn and Cancer in the cardinal signs. If you have any planets around these degrees you will experience a year of enormous change. Sudden and abrupt changes will influence and radically change your life forever. You will be prompted to explore many healing modalities on an emotional and spiritual level. Seek out help from others, don’t try to do it on your own. Most of my current clients have planets at these specific degrees and feel the changes approaching.

I believe these events will involve the lesson of our age, the Age of Pisces, the savior principal. We cannot depend on anyone out there to save us. This goes for political and religious leaders. We have to get past the fear and understand we are responsible for everything occurring in our own lives. It is the manifestation of our own beliefs and perceptions of our lives. We can change it all with understanding. It is truly an illusion we have all manifested. Nothing in this world is real! Nothing in the physical world lasts forever; therefore it cannot be real. Our spiritual souls are real and do last forever. We came here to learn who we really are. This is mirrored back to us through our relationships. Everything we are seeing through others is giving us valuable information about ourselves. What makes you angry, sad, or joyful through your relationships will enlighten you on what aspects of yourself need work.

I feel I must repeat something I keep telling all of you. Remember spirit told me emphatically that the only reason why we keep incarnating here is because of our resentments. We are here because resentments are our most powerful emotional draw. This is about the fact that we feel we have been wronged and need to have justice. We have suffered and we want retribution. It is not right that others can get away with hurting us. We feel righteous and indignant. No matter how right you may be the entire process of needing justice and persecution continues the entire process of reincarnating here to prove we are right.

This is the story of Jesus and the basis of Christianity. It is not that we should feel he suffered and died for us, or that he is our savior. I believe the entire story is that he never blamed anyone for what they did to him. He never felt resentful toward those who turned on him and killed him. He set the example for the lesson of the age of Pisces. His birth began the entire age of Pisces 2,000 years ago. Most astrologers believe he was born in March and had a Sun in Pisces as well. His message and example were clear but the people made him into a savior so they would not have to be responsible for their own actions. Jesus’ story was all about the most important and only lesson we are here to learn. You can call it forgiveness but I will call it acceptance, love and compassion. This is what all the great saints display in their lives and teachings. If you can understand this you will be free of all the karmas of this world and the astrological forces can no longer influence you. This is true enlightenment. Everything here is giving us great opportunities to learn this simple lesson.

I want to make a suggestion for an entertaining movie. I have mentioned repeatedly the movie “Tommy” by the Who. I know it sounds ridiculous but this is the story of the modern day Jesus. The message here is profound and if you follow all the symbology in the movie you will be amazed. You also will be amazed by the all-star cast. I can’t believe all the famous people in this movie, Ann Margret, Oliver Reed, Jack Nicholson, Elton John, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton and “the Who.” It is about enlightenment, and vividly portrays all the materialism of this world. But the main message is that we search for healing through external things outside of ourselves when we have the power to heal ourselves through the realization of who we are (God). As Tommy became self-realized he tried to teach others, but they didn’t understand the message and just wanted him to lead them, or do it for them. They viewed him as the savior and in the end they turn on him and kill him, just as they did with Jesus. As with the savior analogy we seek an outside source to save us, not taking responsibility for our own actions.

I loved the symbolism in the scene in the church idolizing the statue of Marilyn Monroe. The statue itself is really funny and sarcastic! This symbolized that we seek healing through touching statues, but additionally in our culture we look to glamor and drugs to heal or escape. Money, glamor, and drugs become objects of obsession and adoration in this world.

The movie appears silly on the surface but you must pay attention to the symbols. I think it should be a pop culture movie of “the Age of Pisces”. I spoke of the profound omens that I received in my article on the “Age of Pisces” when I went to a local playhouse the summer of 2008 that featured the rock opera “Tommy.” The omens are indicative of powerful messages for the world to come.

Because this is a great illusion we create everyday of our lives I believe we can rewrite the story of our lives. Instead of just living our lives through the eyes of our past we must begin telling a new story about our lives. Quit dwelling on all your past hurts and start with a clean slate for your new future, a life unaffected by all the past emotional hurts that keep controlling your life and future. A great exercise you can do is to rewrite your life is to begin by writing about your future. You can look at it as a movie script you are writing about your own life. You don’t need to rewrite the past, just write out in vivid detail your future life. When you write things down it makes them real and concrete. It also gets you to direct your mind to all the possible positive events you came here to experience.

One small note to remember is to write only about you and your life and experiences. You must not involve the control and experiences of other people. Your happiness does not come from others only from yourself. Work on this exercise daily and you will see a new life emerge just as you have programmed it in your own life’s movie. Here is a bit more information concerning the predictions of September, then we’ll discuss the heavy changes coming in October.

9/17/2009
September 17th is the day before the new Moon and the day of some extreme planetary alignments:
*Sun oppose Uranus
*Mercury square Pluto
*and Sun conjunct Saturn.

The next day, September 18th the Moon will join in this configuration on the new moon. Many upsets will be triggered at this time. This is not a good time to travel. Actually this entire week is dangerous. Saturn’s opposition to Uranus is about sudden shifts in energy. Rigid old concepts transform and change suddenly. Uranus rules electricity and technology. Saturn’s aspect can cause many electrical blow-outs and shortages. Computer systems will break down and machinery can have mechanical problems particularity with Mercury retrograde until September 29th.

9/18/2009
September 18th the new Moon is exactly conjunct Saturn, which is a very depressing influence for this month. Many lose hope and look to a major downfall with the financial markets. This will get worse in October. Saturn can cause delays and setbacks. This is a month of difficulty and may have major repercussions of the world economy. Looking at the chart for the United States, transiting Saturn has just entered the 10th house of this chart. This deals with the country’s leadership and government, which will be on a major decline with many new problems. Resistance to the new changes will cause many delays in any progress within our government.

9/22 – 9/23/2009
Mercury conjunct Saturn, Sun square Pluto and Mercury oppose Uranus, cause many mishaps with travel and communications. Make sure you are clear when conveying information. There will be anger and hostility in the air.

9/25/2009
On September 25th, Mars aspects Jupiter (8th). Violent outbreaks influence the world. This is no time to force opinions on others for there is a lack of tolerance.

October 2009
October has always been the month that concerns me when I began my yearly predictions last year. This is the month that Mars and Ketu cross on October 10th. They are both in the sign ruled by the Moon indicating intense emotions. The fact that Mars is debilitated in this sign reveals that there will be problems concerning issues that Mars is karaka for; this includes, real estate, technology, intelligence, war, and anger. Mars in Cancer will cause difficulty in the housing markets again. More and more people are losing their homes. Industries involved in lending or real estate are in deep trouble. Many homes are unoccupied. Looting and crime escalates around these vacant properties.

Ketu is said to give the results of Mars, and both of them together are indicative of accidents and injury. In water sign of Cancer, it will disrupt family happiness, need for protection, and technology. This may even have an effect on the world’s infrastructure involving the Internet. An attack on the World Wide Web would cause the world to go into a panic. The computers of the world going down would cause a complete standstill of every business worldwide.

Mars in an astrological chart represents intelligence and those who have Mars strong and influencing the 5th house of intelligence, are extraordinarily bright. Many of my clients with this are engineers. Therefore, Mars being distorted at this time can involve technology being disrupted.

Of course Mars represents war and anger, and will bring about major outbursts of emotion and possible explosions and attacks. October 10th Mars will conjunct Ketu causing weakness in the infrastructure of our country. Mars in the sign of Cancer causes problems with families and homes. People are struggling to keep their lives and families together. This represents discord and breakups in marriages. It represents letting go and giving-up after a hard strong battle.

There is a sadness and a sense of loss when Mars conjuncts Ketu. This was the exact astrological configuration that occurred on September 11th, 2001, Mars conjunct Ketu opposed Jupiter with Rahu. This can indicate there will be attacks again but I feel like the attacks are not from an outside force but rather our own people in the United States attacking one another. The radical extremist come from our own circles and people we don’t expect. As the Moon transits through Capricorn on October 12th-13th, and Cancer on October 26th-27th, this dangerous opposition will be activated. Since Capricorn rules government and Cancer rules family, it can mean a personal attack on our homeland and our leaders. This is a very difficult time in history. It will take years to recover from the damage that occurs this fall.

Looking at the chart for the USA, the Mars/Ketu conjunction occurs in the 8th house conjuncting Mercury ruler of the 7th and 10th houses, which could be indicating either radical changes in the leadership of our country or even the death of a leader.

Mars is problematic in the water sign Cancer, its sign of debilitation, and Ketu rules disease. Mars and Ketu in Cancer can indicate diseases infiltrated through the water. Biological warfare is a possibility during this dangerous time.

It is said that planets in the signs of debilitation are at their weakest state. Therefore, there is a possibility that Mars in such a weak state is too weak to produce all the turmoil I foresee. Hopefully this can be the outcome, but I believe the retrograde process of Mars is what intensifies the power to cause the harm.

10/1/2009
On October 1st Neptune enters Capricorn and October 3rd Uranus enters Aquarius. Both outer planets return to the signs they were in before they were in retrograde, indicating a return to previous conditions in the world. The problems we thought we had overcome will be revisited to clean up the remnants we left behind. This goes for personal issues as well. You will be reviewing some relationships that need closure and will have a healing through this process. Both planets will turn direct before the end of this year. Neptune will turn direct November 4th and Uranus will turn direct December 1st. Neptune will reenter Aquarius and Uranus will renter Pisces where they will both remain and they will not backtrack into these signs again.

10/3 - 10/4/2009
October 3rd and 4th Mercury will oppose Uranus and Mars enters Cancer. Mars will remain in Cancer until May 27, 2010 due to the retrograde process. Mars will turn retrograde December 20, 2009. Mars retrograde will preclude major outbreaks of war and hostility. As Mars rules war and violence, its being in the sign of Cancer indicates a need for protection. There will be problems globally concerning attacks and protection must be increased during this time. Real estate markets are floundering and the banks cannot keep up with all the loss. Banks will falter and the economy will create great fear across the planet. This destruction will open up the need for new businesses that we have not yet invented, and here is where the world will transform due to this crisis. Cancer as a water sign indicates problems with water such as extremes with weather, possible contamination to useable water, and disease being transmitted via water.

Oct 4th the harvest full Moon (this designation goes to the full moon that occurs closest to the Autumnal (fall) Equinox) at 15 degrees Pisces will set in motion many emotional responses for this activates the Pisces and Virgo axis. There can be repercussions on health and healing of the world. The need for healing activates many new trends in health and new discoveries.

10/12/2009
October 12th Jupiter turns direct 23 degrees Capricorn. Jupiter has not been beneficial in retrograde motion. It is believed that when a planet is debilitated and retrograde it becomes like an exalted planet, and vise versa when a planet is debilitated and turns retrograde it becomes like a debilitated planet. I have to say I have not seen this work so much in transit, but I have seen it to work more so when it is in a natal birth chart. Jupiter has been totally afflicted and debilitated, with Rahu and now aspected by Mars. All areas Jupiter rules have come under duress and are corrupted. That is finances, truth, knowledge and spirituality. Lack of spiritual knowledge has contributed to this dark phase in history.

10/18/2009
October 18th The new Moon comes under a strong aspect (square) of Mars and now Mars carries the influence of Ketu which makes it an extra powerful influence for destruction. With the Sun in Libra world leaders are not making reasonable choices. The world is under a dark influence but will lead to a transmutation due to humility.

Mars will square the Sun by October 29th indicating this mounting anger. This will intensify as Mars becomes retrograde in December and throughout the springtime in 2010.

On October 21st five planets will be debilitated planets: Moon, Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Venus.
These are the words of my dear friend, Vedic astrologer Juliana Swanson. I thought this was well said and par for the course.

“Originally, in Greek, the sign of a planet's "fall" (debilitation) were called tapeinoma, which means "humbled." I think all these fallen planets can help us find more humility and surrender to the flow of the current of divinity within us. The planets just represent parts of ourselves, so when they are "humbled," so might we be. They show us what we need to do to improve ourselves, and our world.

Planets in debilitation cannot exert their true strength because of outer circumstances, which is a concern when we have five of them at once, so we need to let go and let God more than ever and trust that there is a plan here when things look like they are falling apart. ”

"Generally our minds are 2 parts: one is thinking and the other is awareness. What happens is we believe that we have denied the Source (which we did at the separation) is our mind wants to deny itself and escape the penalty of denial. It then assumes it will escape retribution by punishing someone else. This is the very foundation of why we think we need to judge. Judging is the fuel and our sense of separateness is the fire. If it is love, understanding, and acceptance that we want, we must encourage acceptance within and without."
