 Most of you have heard “Mercury is retrograde”. This seems to be the reason everyone uses for fowl ups of all kinds. The fact is retrograde planets do have a major effect on events here on earth. When a planet turns retrograde it appears to be traveling backwards from our position on earth. We all know planets all revolve around the Sun in direct motion, but when earth lines up and passes another planet it appears to be traveling backwards from our vantage point. This is how the planets seem to go retrograde. This means the planet is in a way dysfunctional and stands out from the crowd.
I am bringing these details to your attention because Saturn has been retrograde since December 19th 2007 and is stationing, meaning it is slowing down in speed considerably to turn direct on May 2nd 2008. This is huge, and will have an enormous effect on our world. Saturn rules business and government. This effect of Saturn is the pull that has the economy and businesses in a standstill. This is the depressive force everyone is feeling right now. The fact that Saturn is with Ketu adds to the depression of the economy as well. The entire month of April will have this influence of Saturn slowing down, but as it does turn direct you will see forward motion in business affairs around the world. I distinctly remember many years ago an astrology teacher telling me to never begin any business while Saturn is retrograde. Wow that covers a 5 month period! |
