There is a stellium of planets in Pisces in the final degrees of the zodiac. Mars and Jupiter are conjunct in the last degrees of Pisces, Jupiter is 29 degrees and Mars is 28 degrees. Mars in the final degrees of Pisces is surfacing the old before the onset of a new beginning. There is a new beginning as the planets cross over from the last final part of the zodiac into the brand new territory of Aries.
A very interesting analogy is being displayed in our faces right now if we can see the symbology of what this all represents. My point is about the past rising for us to see and learn from so our future is not controlled by our past. It is the message from the royal wedding taking place between Prince William and Kate Middleton. When I see all the hype about this over the news I begin to wonder, why is this so fascinating to people? One thing I heard was with so much turmoil and suffering in the world it is a great diversion to think about something happy and fun, about love and the fairy tale of a common girl who meets the prince falls in love and becomes a princess and lives happily ever after. The fairy tales of our youth have this story line in common. But as this royal wedding is discussed everyone wants to believe this will end in a happily ever after theme, but comparisons are constantly being made about the previous wedding to Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Here is the past surfacing for us to better see, so it will not control the future. If we can better learn from the past, we have a better chance of a positive future. We all have the hopes that to live “happily ever after” can be a reality. And this is the story that represents learning from the past and that there can be a happy ending. We all want to come into a life of wealth and comfort with love and live happily ever after. Of course this is just a fairy tale and life is more complex than this but it is fun to be in the innocence of a childhood dream. But what is important, with clarity on the past our future becomes easier to navigate and we do have another chance to try again with a different outcome. This is what we wish for this royal couple.
But aside from the real lives of this couple, this has again become the fascination of the media which is there to create stories for our entertainment, (and they sell!) which the famous become our entertainment as we project our ideals onto people trying to live their life in the limelight. And in a way we project the issues of our own life onto the lives of the famous for everything outside of us is part of us.
The royal wedding has the media and public mesmerized by the fairy tale idea of a commoner becoming a queen. Everyone wants to believe in fairy tales and living happily ever after. I believe this is a part of the intrigue of this royal wedding. This reminds me of a story in my own life that is a real fairy tale.
When I began college at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas I studied Psychology but my true calling was in astrology. While studying for my degree I studied astrology on my own. Most astrologers were self taught for the lack of available training. We didn’t have computer programs to calculate the charts in the 1970’s. I struggled with the math and poorly written astrology books, but one day over the radio they announced there was an astrology class beginning. I jumped on it.
The classes were at the astrologer’s home. He was a brilliant hippie. If you could have seen the house and the people there, it was really a trip! Here were honest to goodness hippies, they wore the same blue jeans everyday and didn’t believe in cleaning anything, their clothes, hair, or house. Everything had to be organic: carrot juice, no meat, and no sugar (marijuana was definitely natural). Free love with no boundaries was very uncomfortable for me as a conservative Texas girl. Here I am with my make-up and styled hair (Farrah Fawcett hairdo), painted nails and matching shoes to my dress. I stuck out like a sore thumb, but the main thing I had in common was astrology. I was there to learn, and I was serious. The teacher was brilliant so I didn’t miss a class, homework or test assignment.
This was a big part of my college experience. While most of my friends from home were going to sorority meetings I was going to astrology classes with hippies. At my astrology teacher’s house there was a little girl who was my teacher’s wife’s daughter (his step daughter). I believe it was his 3rd wife. They were around 26 years old and I was about 19. I thought they were really old! But I often wondered about the environment this young girl was being raised in. I couldn’t imagine what it was like to be raised in a house that was filthy, with free love and no sense of security. Her mother went from man to man taking her along. My teacher always called her the” little princess” because her chart indicated she would be a princess. I am thinking, “yeah right” this poor girl doesn’t have a chance in life with this upbringing. But he did take an interest more than anyone else, taking her to school and caring for her.
In around 1994, I opened my center in Dallas where I was to teach astrology classes and thought it be great to invite my very first astrology teacher to speak and open my center. So I found him, brought him to Dallas to speak and honored him at the opening of my new metaphysical center.
When he came to Dallas he asked, “Did you hear about the ‘little princess’, she lives in Dallas”. I was surprised and he arranged for her to meet us for dinner. There she was all grown up, beautiful and composed. Come to find out she lived in one of the most beautiful areas in a mansion with a lake in the backyard in Dallas. Come to find out she was in the Boston area taking her mother to a rehab center for addictions where she met a family member of the Kennedy family who had a family member in the same rehab. She fell in love and married. She actually did become American royalty marring into the Kennedy family.
This to me was a beautiful fairy tale of the poor girl who really became a princess. Her chart truly produced the promise of riches and a happy ending.

"I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt. Only my condemnation injures me. Only my own forgiveness sets me free. How deceived I was to think that what I feared was in the world, instead of in my own mind. Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict. As forgiveness allows love to return to my awareness, I will see a world of peace and safety and joy. This world will change through you. No other means can save it. My forgiveness is the means by which the world is healed, together with myself, let me then forgive the world, that it may be healed along with me. Peace will come to all who ask for it with real desire and sincerity of purpose." -- A Course In Miracles |
