The breaking news around the world is that “Osama bin Laden is dead”. Almost ten years ago that he was the instigator of the September 11th terrorist attacks on America. This was a turning point in our history; the United States never seemed to be the same after this event. He was the most hated and hunted man in the world since the attacks, and has been compared to Hitler, note that they were both killed around the same day, April 30th and May 1st.

Mars and Jupiter are in the final degrees of Pisces. I believe this has brought an ending to many events. This is a symbol of completion and endings before a new beginning. This represents that the past has surfaced for a completion that leads to a healing. We can put the past behind. This feels like a healing for America and the world. This was exactly what I was referring to in my Spiritual Insights sent out last week “There is a stellium of planets in Pisces in the final degrees of the zodiac. Mars and Jupiter are conjunct in the last degrees of Pisces, Jupiter is 29 degrees and Mars is 28 degrees. Mars in the final degrees of Pisces is surfacing the old before the onset of a new beginning. There is a new beginning as the planets cross over from the last final part of the zodiac into the brand new territory of Aries”.

Natal Birth Chart for Osama Bin Laden

The chart I am using for Osama Bin Laden has a Gemini ascendant. Even if this time is incorrect, Gemini is the sign of his Moon, which looks at the chart as the Moon sign being the ascendant. This is Chandra lagna. We use the Moon as the ascendant when we don’t have a birth time. But this is the time used by many astrologers. This chart works and is accurate.

There is so much to understand in his chart, that makes sense of terrorism, extremism and fanaticism. He has the Sun, Venus and Mercury in the 9th house. This is the house of spiritual knowledge. His actions against America killing the innocent in his wake of destruction are based on his delusional spiritual beliefs. He firmly believed he was doing the righteous thing for God. This is the same as any cults or any religious beliefs that force their supreme law. There are many who will follow blindly, leaders who have charisma and passion. Charles Mansion is another example of someone with this kind of charismatic control over other’s minds. Bin Laden’s 9th house planets are about his fanatical spiritual beliefs. But what could have caused his spirituality in such a delusional way? My answer is Rahu is aspecting the 9th house planets. The 5/9 trine aspect of Rahu is a full aspect and deserves attention. Many forget that Rahu and Ketu cast a full aspect when they cast a trine (120 degrees). Rahu is the planet that makes one obsessive and fanatical, and it aspects to the 9th house of spirituality, containing the Sun, Venus and Mercury, this is the cause of wild delusional religious obsessions.

Rahu is in Libra in the 5th house of the mind and intelligence, and Rahu here is another indication of a fanatical mind. Both Rahu and Neptune combined in the 5th house can represent delusional thinking. Notice Neptune is also exactly trine (120 degrees) his Moon in Gemini. The Moon in the sign Gemini is extremely mental, and Neptune’s trine will consume the thoughts with illusions.

The Moon is in the very intense nakshatra Ardra, ruled by Rahu. The symbol is a “teardrop” and the ruling god is Rudra, the god of storms. It points to a life of storms, tears and intensity. In this chart both his Moon and ascendant are ruled by this nakshatra indicating a life of storms and sadness.

His Saturn is in the 6th house opposed his Mars in the 12th house. These positions are instrumental in his hateful and destructive plans to kill and hurt others. The 6th house is the house of enemies, attacks and accidents, and the 12th house is the house of hidden enemies and secret agendas. Mars rules the 6th house (attacks and enemies) and is in 12th house (secrets and secret enemies). Saturn’s aspect to Mars creates persistence and perseverance. Mars is in Taurus and Saturn is in Scorpio (fixed signs) making them very rigid and stubborn. Saturn rules the 8th house and is in the 6th house, this causes disruption and problems with enemies and even death through attacks. His planets in Aquarius (Sun, Mercury and Venus) are also in fixed signs indicating his stubborn and rigid ways that are hard to change. The 12th house indicates loss and prison in which he was in hiding for ten years.

Jupiter is the planet of truth, wisdom and spirituality. It is placed in the 4th house which is a moksha house. Houses 4, 8 and 12 are the moksha houses pertaining to other worlds and dimensions. They are known as the houses of spiritual liberation. When Jupiter is in one of these houses it creates a deep introspective mind. Sometimes there is an obsession with the past, for the 4th house rules the past. It is also called the house of the end of life. Saturn is transiting here (17 degrees Virgo) at the time of his death and in quincunx (150 degree) 6/8 relationship to his natal Mercury and Venus (both 17 degrees Aquarius) causing his death. 
 
Fixed Stars and Mass Murders

On closer inspection of Osama Bin Laden’s planets he has his Mars at 2 degrees Taurus in the sidereal Vedic chart, and 25 degrees Taurus in the tropical Western chart which is conjunct the most violent and dangerous fixed star Algol. It is in the charts of mass murders, and people who have a violent death. It is the head of Medusa and in Arabic “Al Ghoul” means “demon”, or “devil”.

In Fixed Stars and their Interpretation by Ebertin and Hoffman Algol is noted as a disastrous star. Quotes from Fixed Stars: “Primitive natives will be of the base mind with an inclination to brutality and violence, especially when Algol is found with Mars or Saturn. In the cosmogram of mass murderer Haarmann, Algol is positioned on the ascendant in conjunction with Mars. This configuration pointed, to not only his own murderous nature , but also his own execution. Mars in conjunction with Algol was in Borman one of Hitler’s closest colleagues who had many murders to his name. Mass murderer Kuerten also has Algol with the ascendant and the Mars and Saturn midpoint”. The realization that Osama Bin Laden has his natal Mars conjunct Algol explains how he was involved in the murders of so many people and his own violent death.

There are many others who had Algol conjunct natal planets in their chart that have had very difficult life experiences due to the difficulty of this very fated fixed star. Algol is known for decapitation of the head as the mythological figure Medusa represents in the Greek myth.

In Bin Laden’s chart his Mars is 3 degrees away from Ketu which does indicate a passive aggressive nature with a fated violent destiny especially conjunct fixed star Algol.

Predictions in his Life

September 11th 2001
On September 11th 2001 transiting Jupiter was (17 degrees of Gemini) exactly in trine (120 degrees) to his natal Venus and Mercury (both 17 degrees of Aquarius). This represents his sense of victory in his long standing plan to destroy America. Transiting Rahu (9 degrees Gemini) was on his natal Moon (8 degrees Gemini) which is extremely intense and indicates obsessions and delusions to the mind. Transiting Mars (8 degrees Sagittarius) opposes his Moon as well indicating war and aggression, which he induced the war on terrorism.

May 1st 2011
In his chart on May 1st 2011 the most significant aspect of his fated death came about with transiting Saturn (17 degrees Virgo) in an exact quincunx 6/8 (150 degrees) to his Venus and Mercury (both 17 degrees Aquarius). Transiting Jupiter and Mars at 28 degrees Pisces are in exact quincunx 8/6 (210 degrees) to his natal Rahu at 28 degrees of Libra. The two quincunx aspects are incredibly specific in this death and violent ending. His Mercury is the ruler of his chart (Mercury rules the ascendant) which indicates the end of his life.

The most important aspect in accidents and death is the quincunx or the 6/8 relationship, in Vedic astrology it is called shastastaka (6/8 Relationship) literally Shasta means six, and Astaka means eight. This is a very difficult aspect and many astrologers consider it a minor aspect. I conducted an entire workshop in astrology on this aspect in 2006, Prediction using Spacial Relationships of Gochara Special Aspects and Configurations used for Prediction. The sixth house rules accidents, health and enemies and the 8th house is the house of death, change and transformation. The combination of these two meanings give a very difficult and unharmonious result. This aspect is very powerful and in the year of 2012 Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto form a major shastastaka 6/8 relationship. Most significantly when there are three planets forming this relationship together we call it the YOD in western astrology. I will be writing detail specifics concerning this exact aspect which occurs December 21, 2012.

More on the shastastaka aspect, quote from my workshop

“Shastastaka, the 6/8 relationship, is known as an unfortunate relationship in Vedic astrology, and is better known as the quincunx in western astrology. It has to do with life changing events. It has the energy of the combination of the 6th and 8th house. The 6th house can produce accidents, but also the need to improve or make one’s life better, while the 8th house indicates major change or transformations. The extreme result is death. It is prominent in health matters and illness, financial reversals, or residence changes. I have seen it involved in sudden death or an opportunity to wake up and turn one’s life around. The nature of the planets involved will produce the exact effects”.

Another important transit was Uranus (8 degrees Pisces) exactly square Bin Laden’s natal Moon (8 degrees Gemini) indicating sudden unexpected events on this day.

Dasha/ Bhukti

His maha dasha/bhukti was Mercury/Ketu in which his natal Mercury was being aspected precisely by transiting Saturn on this day in the 8th house (house of death) from his dasha ruler Mercury. Transits should always be taken from the maha dasha as the ascendant during the duration of this cycle. Ketu as the subcycle indicates loss and retreat from the world.

Conclusion

Osama Bin Laden was an extreme religious fanatic fixed in the fundamental beliefs of ancient history. His hostility and violence was directed on progressive and open minded nations. His death represents the ending of a resistant judgmental tyrant that couldn’t accept change. For the world, this is a turning point for progressive change worldwide and most importantly a healing where all nations and political parties come together and heal. The underlying lessons here are unity, freedom and healing.
