Sandra Bullock has had quite an exciting life for good and bad lately. As she won her first Oscar for best actress, her husband has been cheating on her. The betrayal runs deep as she has transiting Pluto and Saturn both aspecting her 7th house and natal Ketu. I know most Vedic astrologers don’t look at the forward square of Saturn, but in Jaimini astrology the rashi aspects include the square of all the mutable signs to one another. Transiting Saturn in Virgo is squaring her natal Ketu in Sagittarius in her 7th house of partnerships. Transiting Pluto has been conjunct her natal Ketu here as well. Transiting Rahu is in her 7th house for another year, so this means the eclipses are occurring in her 7th house. This will mean radical changes for the partner.

In Sandra’s natal chart she has Ketu in her 7th house. Ketu in the 7th house can denote problems and loss within relationships. Those with this placement have the intention to heal and uplift their partners. Unfortunately, the partners they chose usually don’t really want to be helped and end up draining them. Many who have Ketu in the 7th house can usually vouch for this experience in their life. For my clients who have this placement I usually tell them to steer clear of the needy ones who require their help in life and look for someone who has real spiritual qualities, for Ketu can represent spirituality. Another fascinating quality of Ketu in the 7th house, the partners will have very light colored eyes.  The nakshatra Mula (which Ketu is in) is very self-destructive. Many with this nakshatra will have self-destructive qualities particularly dealing with some addictions. Because it is in her 7th house it represents her partners having self-destructive qualities usually in the way of addictions. This describes her current husband Jesse James. She has the tendency to choose this sort of individual based on her need to heal and help those who are damaged.

As to her success with the win of her Oscar, the 10th house of social standing and career must be assessed. Jupiter rules the 10th house and is placed in her 11th house of great gains natally. This gives her the capacity to achieve enormous accomplishments through her work. Her Jupiter is in Aries ruled by Mars, and Mars is extraordinarily strong being placed on the Ascendant degree with Rahu. To be a success in life one has to have a strong Mars for it rules drive, ambition, and courage. Those with a strong Mars are very successful, for it is essential to career success.

Transiting Jupiter is in her 9th house conjuncting her natal Saturn, ruler of the 9th house in the 9th house, denoting a time of fortune due to her career and work.  Additionally transiting Jupiter is also aspecting her 1st house with Venus, Mars, and Rahu. It is also aspecting her 5th house and Neptune. I believe Neptune indicates the movie and film business, and this placement in her 5th house gives her creative ability in this area. Furthermore, the fact that Natal Neptune mutually aspects (by opposition) natal Jupiter ruler of the 10th house of her career, indicates an acting career in movies. I have worked with many famous actors charts and find this to be a very common thread in the film business. This grand trine between the 9th, 1st and 5th house planets gave her this top award.  Along with the grand trine being hit she also had transiting exalted Venus and Uranus in her 10th house indicating exciting events occurring in her career.  Finally, transiting Rahu was aspecting her natal Jupiter ruler of her career house (Rahu and Ketu full aspect are the trines, 5/9 from their positions). With so many positive transits activating her career house (10th house) and the ruler of the 10th house (Jupiter) at the time of the awards there can be no doubt that she would be honored for her accomplishments.

As to her dasha placements she was in the maha dasha Saturn, Venus Bhukti. The natal placements of these planets must be assessed to predict the results of the dasha rulers. I find the bhukti will give the main experience for that time frame being reviewed. Her natal Venus is in her 1st house and rules her 5th and 12th house. Venus for Gemini Ascendant is one of the best planets and usually gives a good result. Because of its placement in her 1st house she receives honors, for the 1st house brings the experience to the individual.  Her maha dasha ruler is Saturn, which is incredibly strong in her 9th house of blessings and luck. They are trine each other which gives a powerful time during the dasha of these 2 planets. During the time of this win, transiting Jupiter is aspecting both the maha dasha ruler Saturn by conjunction and bhukti ruler Venus by trine.

To further see the outcome of a dasha the transiting planets of the Dasha ruler and bhukti must be assessed and both of them aspect the 10th house of career. At the time of the academy awards on March 7th 2010 Transiting Venus was in her 10th house and transiting Saturn was in her 4th house aspecting the 10th house.

For Gemini Ascendants both Saturn and Venus rule the best and worse houses. Saturn rules the 8th house of death, and the 9th house of blessings, luck and spirituality, and Venus rules the 5th house of good karma, creativity and leadership, and the 12th house of loss. While this is a time of excitement and awards in her life she is simultaneously going through a time of endings and loss.

Sandra has a chart of amazing courage and determination and she will see through these difficult but rewarding times. Transiting Jupiter will be in her 10th house soon (May 2010-May 2011). She will have more success and public appeal. She will spend time on her work and healing relationship issues. By May 2012 when transiting Jupiter will aspect her natal Jupiter ruler of her 7th house, and karaka of the partner in a woman’s chart, and transiting Jupiter will aspect her 7th house she will find true love again.
