Saturn is conjunct the New Moon this month making it a somber time. There is a serious wave from the past difficulties and the highs and lows from such a tremulous time in history. From September 2nd through the 9th, Saturn will be conjunct President Obama’s natal Mars in the 8th house. This will depict a very hard and dangerous time in his life. I believe once he is past this most dangerous aspect, he is safe from the most perilous aspects we as astrologers dreaded seeing. As noted, throughout the year there were a series of aspects that affected his chart, but this is by far the worse and I consider him home free following this.

Saturn will enter Virgo where it will remain for the next two and half years. This will stabilize our world and government from the incredibly difficult Saturn with Ketu in Leo aspect of the former two and a half years. Saturn in Leo created the weakening of many counties from weak leadership. Many lessons have been gained, and slow but steady progress will be made for growth on all accounts for the future.

Those of you with Leo planets will be relieved as Saturn passes out of this sign, but those with Virgo planets must get ready for the their lives to become more difficult, but persistence and diligence will produce great rewards and bring on a new level of maturity.

The Sun will square Pluto on September 23rd producing great challenges and difficulty around this time. Pluto has been hovering around the Galactic Center. This can only mean that this is an incredible year for major transformations, particularly for the USA, for this is the ascendant of the chart I use for the USA. We may be worn out by now from the extremes and the emotional volatility, but we are so much wiser. Now we know why we had to experience so much hysteria and change. The defensive reactions will dissipate with understanding. This was only a projection of our own hostility and there is no force outside of us doing anything to us. These shifts in our planet will produce a higher level of consciousness, for we are here to grow through awareness.
