Planetary Predictions and Aspects

These predictions use the sidereal placements of planets used in Vedic astrology, western astrology uses the tropical zodiac. The aspects will be the same in both systems only the signs and degrees differ by 23-24 degrees.

08/01 Sun square Jupiter: The Sun represents leadership, and the barricade of obstacles that must be overcome this month. This relates to world leaders sorting out limitations and finding solutions. Individually we must find our own solutions and answers to the obstacles presented in life.

08/02 Mercury turns retrograde: This will be a very confusing and difficult Mercury retrograde for it is opposed Neptune. Neptune represents confusion, deceit and deception. This is especially true with an opposition. The truth in worldly matters is hidden but decisions must be made now. Any decisions made at this time will be subject to change once the truth and reality is exposed. Misunderstandings, delusions, and mistakes will take place. Travel plans go wrong from miscommunications, be prepared for the unexpected and a change of plans.

08/03 Mars trine Neptune: Communications break down but action to solve these matters are initiated. There is movement in the right direction but the world is overwhelmed with too many problems and each problem leads to others that uncover many more layers.

08/04 Venus square Jupiter: Excessive spending comes to a halt and revisions are set for balance in an overextended economy. The stock market concerning luxury items comes to an all time low.

08/08 Mercury oppose Neptune: Mercury will oppose Neptune once a year but while Mercury is retrograde this marks the focus to the sign and area it occupies on a global level and individually. Mercury in Leo affects the position and decisions made by world leaders.

08/09 Mars square Uranus: Earth changes will shake up the world, for this is an aspect for earth quakes and extremes with weather and storms. Tension and anger cause sudden outburst that disrupt world affairs.

08/11 Mars oppose Pluto: Control and power surmount in explosive tempers and acts of terrorism. This week Mars is in a very difficult position promoting violence and anger. As it squares Uranus and Saturn and opposes Pluto, Mars completes a grand mutable cross which is a very difficult planetary configuration involving the most malefic planets. This will be a very stressful and destructive time.

08/16 Venus, Mercury and the Sun conjunct at 29 degrees of Cancer in aspect to Rahu at 28 Scorpio: These planets are in the last degrees of water signs (Ghandanta) which indicates drowning. This can indicate floods, storms or tsunamis. In a figurative sense Ghandanta means “out of control” which emulate the world conditions during this time. The combustion of both Mercury and Venus are actually a cazimi (conjunct within a degree orb), meaning they become one and unit their energy. This can be a breakthrough of emotional energy and can represent an outpour of emotions and sentiments.

08/16-22 Venus and Sun enters Leo and oppose Neptune: Confusion and upset concerning loss around world leaders and decisions consume the world consciousness.

08/25 Mars square Saturn: Frustration and anger flare and invoke attacks. There are opportunities for growth which through this difficulty creates the shift needed to progress to the next level.

08/25-30 Venus and Sun trine Pluto and Jupiter creating a Grand Fire Trine: Venus and the Sun are traveling together for most of this month meaning Venus is combust depleting the benefic energy of Venus. This signifies problems with how we relate and disturbs the harmony and peace of the world. Venus is combust the Sun which means the energy of Venus is wiped out, so we must remind ourselves to practice spiritual wisdom, for the awakening that is occurring will be a breakthrough in awareness. The grand fire trine promotes inspiration for healing. Events that bring destruction unite and bring people together. It takes difficult circumstances to awaken people to what is important. The awakening inspires unity.

08/26 Mercury Direct 24 Cancer: Progress will begin towards a healing of the confusion and disruption. The path of healing gives meaning and understanding to the overwhelming world crises.

08/30 Jupiter turns retrograde 16 Aries: Jupiter is the planet of expansion and wealth and when retrograde it regulates these matters. Financially there is a constriction of spending and loss within the world economy. But if you have any planets in your own birth chart at 16 degrees of Aries you are very lucky, and can expect expansion in financial matters that will bring you prosperity and wealth.
