World Predictions Overview for 2010

This is a miraculous year for medical and scientific discoveries that will change our world. People will ban together to take back control of their lives and create new opportunities for new services and business that the world needs and thrives on. The media will no longer control our social climate; for we are uniting as humanity, free of imposed restrictions and limiting beliefs. The world is evolving to a higher level of awareness but many difficulties and explosive events must surface and clear the air before the positive effects are visible. Get ready because 2010 is a year you will not forget! There are so many miracles waiting for our discovery if we can leave our fascination with destruction behind. There will be cures for disease, understanding science with spirituality and healing for the current human dilemma. This is more exciting than any negative drama we are now focused on. November of 2009 Rahu changed into Sagittarius and Ketu into Gemini. They will remain in these signs until May 2, 2011. This will create a different temperament and social climate. This is the time of information and scientific discovery. Communications will expand with an emphasis on the truth. Most significantly in 2010 Jupiter will be in Aquarius until May 1, 2010 while Mars will remain in Cancer until May 27, 2010 and Saturn will be in Virgo until November 16, 2011. These placements are not harmonious to each other, for they form a Yod. In Vedic astrology it is called the 6/8 relationship. (Saturn is 8th from Jupiter, and Jupiter is 6th from Saturn, Jupiter is 8th from Mars, and Mars is 6th from Jupiter. Jupiter here is the focal point of both malefics, Mars and Saturn.) What does all this mean? There is a mixture of incongruent energy creating a standstill. It is like mixing oil and water. This can be very frustrating. The world is in transition and has not completed the transformation to produce the positive results. There is still a building of anxiety and fear, with too much resistance to the changes occurring. It impedes the growth of the world. Political parties and religions continue to oppose one another instead of working together. The polarities on both sides are unbending creating a standoff and mounting anger. The problem is, everyone is looking for something or someone to blame. Once we learn to take total responsibility for everything in our lives then we will see the world change. The Yod that is formed in the sky during months January through May 2010 represent our dissatisfaction with our world as it is now. The Yod has been called the “Finger of God” indicating the change is occurring now to save humanity. We as a species have gone way out of control and need divine intervention to bring us back into a state of harmony. Because people don’t change unless they have to, there will be many extreme events that will force humanity to change. I will be looking at the influences of the planets to describe the future trends for 2010. Remember you can change by choice, and the effects of a world out of control do not have to affect your own world if you take charge and change your ways and thinking. The first requirement is the desire to change. Your intention will be honored with opportunities to achieve peace. The planets give us the guidance and tools to understand ourselves and this healing will in turn have an effect on the world. The most significant aspects of the year will be Saturn squaring Pluto, opposing Uranus. Saturn has opposed Uranus 3 times in the past year, now they have both moved into a different sign in opposition. Saturn is in Virgo and Uranus is in Pisces. Saturn rules old traditional values and Uranus rules the new and cutting edge. This opposition means the old structures will suddenly change and we will have an awakening. Saturn aspects to Pluto are very cathartic. These three planets in hard aspect will definitely create radical shifts and changes suddenly and unexpectedly. Pluto in the sign of Sagittarius indicates strong political or religious issues involved in the confrontations and upheaval. The signs that Saturn and Jupiter are in reveal the social and political climate of each year. These are the social planets indicating the feelings of the masses or the public. Last year as Jupiter was in Capricorn there was an intense uprising politically worldwide. Capricorn is the debilitated sign for Jupiter and rules government and business. Loss of jobs and government bureaucracy caused many down falls that we are trying to overcome now. Saturn will fare much better in Virgo, for Leo is a very difficult sign for Saturn to use its productive energy. The sign Leo is individualistic and does not do well with sharing or being useful for the world. Saturn was in Leo the past 2 1/2 years, and will be in Virgo for the next 2 years. Saturn now in Virgo will work well to organize and clean up the mess that the pass trends have created while it was in Leo. Jupiter in the sign Aquarius will pull people together. Aquarius is the sign of humanity. It rules organizations that promote healing, change and group consciousness. It also rules astrology, which will begin to make a revival in this year. The first half of the year Jupiter will be in Aquarius, and the second half of the year will feel very different for Jupiter will change signs into Pisces. Jupiter transits into Aquarius December 19, 2009 - May 1, 2010. Jupiter will be in Pisces until May 9, 2011. Jupiter will pick up strength in Pisces for it is ruled by Jupiter. Extraordinary events will occur during this time for Jupiter will conjoin Uranus and oppose Saturn. Jupiter will remain in Pisces basically one year with the exception of the month of November in 2010, where it will temporarily retrograde for one month back into Aquarius (Nov 2 - Dec 6, 2010 in Aquarius). The last time Saturn and Uranus opposed was 1967-1969. Saturn was in Pisces and Uranus in Virgo. This time frame will have some similarities to this year. Looking back at 1967 there was the onset of the hippie era and creativity ran high. This was one the most outstanding years for movie production and music. Progress was made for plans to explore outer space and medical discoveries took a leap. With this in mind I believe there will be many groups forming to give a feeling of union and connection to many who feel isolated and unconnected. There will be an explosion of radical visions and eccentric movements much like the radical hippie rebellion. The Internet has united and at the same time isolated people. People from around the world are now in communication with one another, but they never really meet in person. The isolation created by this new phenomenon will change; many groups begin to form beginning a feeling of connection and brotherhood. These groups will be a rebellion from the constrictions of the conservative political groups. Governments and their rules will be ignored producing a new leap in leadership. The old patterns of government will begin to break down due to the public’s dissatisfaction and dismay over lack of progress and constant bickering and fighting. A new generation of world order will begin to evolve out of this confusion. The people will begin to take their rights and power back into their control and change the political run of the earth. I just hope it is not as violent as the late 1960s were with the Kent State University happenings, riots over the war, racial stress, and the insanity of the Mansion murders. At the same time the late 1960s had events such as Woodstock that was seen as an event that united thousands with a message of unity and freedom. It was called the Aquarian Exposition. It was the event that represented freedom and change. The younger generation radically opposed the conservative rigid governmental rule. From the war in Viet Nam, to the racial uprising and sexual liberation, the planets of change transformed our world then and will as well now. Saturn opposed Uranus activates radical change that opposes the old patterns that no longer work. There will be 2 more oppositions in 2010, April 26th and July 26th. These are extreme times of change and shifts of energy. Those interested in the stock market must chart these dates for there will be major shifts and changes in the markets. The initial opposition was in October 2008 producing a radical shift that set the tone for 2009 and 2010. The energy will be different now that both planets are opposing in different signs. Uranus in Pisces is concerned with the development of scientific research. Pisces pertains to the final frontiers; information that is out of the box. This will produce an explosion of new discoveries that will ultimately change how we view our universe and medical healing pertaining to energy. Saturn in Virgo indicates medical discoveries and the field of learning and information will explode. Virgo rules the harvest and food. This can mean a breakthrough discovery in agriculture and health. There will be a new understanding how the body utilizes nutrients for health. Diet and nutrition will be understood alleviating many diseases related to poor diet and imbalances. New discoveries concerning weight problems will find cures. Jupiter conjuncts Uranus on June 6, 2010, September 18, 2010 and January 6, 2011 in Pisces. This will produce excitement and the sudden changes that will be necessary for our growth. This will give us the opportunity to expand our awareness. I have called this the “lottery win aspect.” It has the effect of suddenly expanding and changing situations. Watch the sudden spikes in the stock market at these times. Major discoveries will occur changing our lives forever. You will want to know if you have any natal planets around these degrees in Pisces to see the expansive effects in your life. A personal reading will determine if you have planets at these points in the zodiac and what effects it can have in your own life. Looking back at the last time Jupiter conjoined Uranus in the sign of Pisces was the year of 1928. To confirm that this is a time of major medical discoveries: Alexander Flemming discovered penicillin in 1928 and changed the world of modern medicine by introducing the age of antibiotics and his discovery of penicillin continues to save millions of lives. Extreme hurricanes and earthquakes rock the world as the conjunction will produce extreme events. Uranus rules earthquakes and Jupiter’s conjunction in a water sign (Pisces) will make events more severe concerning weather and earth changes. Another time in history that the planets were in a similar alignment was in February 1931. There was a grand mutable cross involving the same planets, and Mars was retrograde in Cancer. Saturn was opposed Jupiter and Pluto, squaring Uranus plus Rahu and Ketu were squaring Saturn and Pluto/Jupiter. This was the time of the great depression and the banks were closing with an insecure financial future. This is the same configuration occurring in the summer of 2010. July of 2010 will involve a grand mutable cross that will rock the world. Saturn will oppose Uranus/Jupiter, square Pluto, and Rahu and Ketu all in mutable signs. Mars has been retrograde in Cancer a few months previously. Saturn has been squaring Pluto this year. It will square 2 more times: January 31 and August 21, 2010. Every 7 seven years Saturn will make a hard aspect to Pluto indicating a crisis and a need for a change. Pluto rules power, but the key is surrender. Pluto rules atomic energy, and can indicate the misuse of power, but to use power accordingly can change the world to a place of miracles for higher transformation. But, because people do not change unless they are forced to, this can be a total breakdown of old patterns that we have out grown. Between the opposition to Uranus and the square of Pluto a huge change is inevitable. Between January and May, 2010 Jupiter will be in Aquarius indicating a spiritual awakening for humanity. People will be forming groups with an emphasis on pulling together to unite humanity. I just hope it isn't because of some major terrorist activity. The major medical discoveries develop mid spring while Jupiter transits through the nakshatra Shatabhishak, the nakshatra of the thousand healers. Science and spirituality begin to merge. Discoveries in space prove life on other planets and a better understanding of outer space. Technology will grow and expand to a point where eventually the electrical grids cannot handle the extreme expansion. Mars is in the sign of Cancer until May indicating tensions and angry outburst. This is the year of the most extreme terrorist activity. These destructive plans are being developed during the spring and implemented during the summer months. When Mars is retrograde and Venus retrogrades soon after, I have noted extreme reactions in war then a healing approximately nine months following the Venus retrograde cycle. I have charted major peace treaties around these times. Nine months after the next Venus retrograde will be around August 2011. (Venus is retrograde October 8 - November 18, 2010 Mars is retrograde December 20, 2009 - March 10, 2010.) This revelation will promote a world in need of spirituality and conscious growth. It is a time of explosive events that will bring an eventual healing. Things have to come to a head before the fallout will promote a new world of healing and peace. Mars in the sign of Cancer indicates problems in the housing and real estate markets, topped off with more difficulty with banks and lending. Cancer rules family meaning there will be difficulty holding the family unit together especially when the home is taken away. Cancer is a water sign and this indicates problems with contaminated water. This sign can breed bad weather and unusual storms. As Rahu and Ketu transit through the signs of communications, Sagittarius and Gemini, I foresee major misrepresentations by the media globally that upset the people. There can be a breakdown of the Internet and communication grids globally. Information is leaking out from governments exposing the truth, which is quite different than the people realize. The people are angry and feel mislead by governmental leadership globally. They are not maintaining their promises. May to November, 2010 terrorist activity will reach a peak, specifically in the summer months. Many explosive events will occur for this is the time the grand cross of the planets form to the exact degree in the sky. Saturn conjunct Mars opposed Jupiter and Uranus, square Pluto, and Pluto conjunct Rahu and opposed Ketu. This looks like a devastating time in history where the mounting hate and hostility will break into major war and attack globally. It will indicate many earth changes as well such as extreme weather and earthquakes. The most intense and volatile time will be July and August, 2010. July will mark the most intense time around the solar eclipse, but the most extreme aspects occur July 30-31, 2010. I believe after these blow-ups there will be peace and new beginnings creating the changes predicted with the year 2012. The time of a brand new cycle for mankind. This higher level of awareness will bring creativity to new ways to make money. New businesses will form to take care of the new needs produced because of the recent economic fall. This means although there will be hostility and threats of war, the financial aspects globally will improve. The lack of progress within the governments will produce new businesses that will rival and compete against the current government organizations. The people are taking back their power from the governments. What’s the lesson here? We cannot depend on outside sources to give us our own security. We must learn to listen to the inner voice that tells us how we can depend on ourselves, to empower ourselves to be productive and reach out to like-minded people to form organizations that help ourselves and others. It must be a communal effort now to get the planet back on track. Businesses are formed out of the need of necessity. New business will spout up to help the masses. A spiritual explosion is happening that will tie in the mysteries of ancient wisdom with the combination of science and spirituality. If you seek the truth you will find it. It will free you and give you healing in this tumultuous time. No matter how we think or feel about the times ahead we have to understand something positive will prevail out of this difficulty for this is the process of growth and transformation.
